My book review is on The Pig man, originally written by Paul Zindel. The story had three main characters in the story; John, Lorraine, and Mr. Pignati. Each one of the characters has several conflicts throughout the story. The story in my opinion is a big suspension builder. It is like that in the whole story.

John and Lorraine is students in Franklin High School. John is a trouble maker. His freshman year he got the nickname Bathroom Bomber. He drinks and smokes Lorraine thinks it was because he watched his dad do it when he was younger. John wants to be an actor when he grows up. Lorraine is an intelligent girl. Her mother doesnt like her looks. She wants to be a psychiatrist when she grows up. Mr. Pignati is a retired electrician. He is very lonely man his wife is in California taking care of his sister. He collects glass pigs for a hobby.
John and his friends including Lorraine have a prank call competition. Where you prank call someone and try to keep them on Where the phone the longest. That is how John band Lorraine got to know Mr. Pignati. Lorraine called him and told him that she was a representing a charity called the J & L Fund. Mr. Pignati offered ten bucks to them. John said ok and they went and visited him.

I kind of liked the story because it was pretty interesting. I think most people would like if they read it. The story is not that long thats why I was going to read it, and it was for school thing. Then it was a pretty good and I was really interested in it.

This book was a pretty good book. If you read it you probably wont want to put it down. It really had a lot of suspense thats why it was swo interesting tyo me. the characters were good for the story, and it got your imagination running when you read it.

Book Review Outline

Book title and author: The Pigman by Paul Zindel

Title of review: The Pigman

Number of stars (1 to 5): 5

This Story is about two teenagers John and Lorraine who were playing games with there friends. Lorraine played the game and met this guy named Mr. Pignati. They became best friends with each other and they saw that Mr. Pignatis collected pigs so thats how he got his name the Pigman. So they all went to the zoo together and saw Bobo that was Mr. Pignatis best friend. Until one day something really bad had happened a couple of days later after John had his party.

The main plots of the story was that John and Lorraine were holding a secret from Mr. Pignati and Mr. Pignati was holding a secret from them. They talked to each other for quite a while until they told each other there secrets and Mr. Pignati had a heart attack. While Mr. Pignati was at the hospital John decided to have a party and when people started getting out of control and they broke Mr. Pignatis pig collection. Mr. Pignati returned home right after it happened he kicked everybody out of his house and the police escorted John and Lorraine to there home. The next day John and Lorraine felt sorry for what had happened and they asked Mr. Pignati if he wanted to go to the zoo and he was quite and then he said yes. When they met at the zoo the first thing that Mr. Pignati wanted to do was go see Bobo Mr. Pignatis best friend that was a monkey. When he went to see Bobo he wasnt there he started screaming Bobos name and a zoo keeper said that Bobo had died of phenomena. Right after the zoo keeper said that Mr. Pignati feel on the floor and died. John sat there and thought about the way he should live his life and how much he is going to miss Mr. Pignati and Bobo until the ambulance got there.

I liked this book of the Pigman because it reminds me of some people I know. It also tells you some true facts about life because you dont really know how important some people are until they pass away and then you think I should have treated them better. I would like for people to read this book so they could learn true facts about life and why life is so important. I thought by the cover that the book was going to be stupid but somebody made me read it and when I started reading it I liked it and I read it in three days it was only 166 pages. So treat everybody with respect and I really recommend that everybody reads this book.

It is sad that Mr. Pignati passed away. John and Lorraine say that it is all of there faults because that had happened to them and that kind of stuff sticks with somebody. I am saying just have respect for everybody because when somebody passes away that is when you see how much they do. I know that I said this later on in the story but I really do want you to read this book it is a very good book and I like it and that is very unusual for me because I dont normally read.

If I would compare this book to The Outsiders than I would recommend this book. Especially when the times get hard in this story than it is like real life. I really loved this book I know that I said this a lot but my opinion of this book is that it is awesome and I am going to read this book over and over. Thank you for letting me tell my opinion of the book and this was something fun to do. I like Tech Steps they are good to learn and they are fun to do and I was happy that I got to do it on the book pigman.

Well this book starts out with two sophomores John and Lorraine having problems of them selves, but because of a phone game now they are in touch with a sweet but lonely old man named Mr.Pignati which also has problems of him self but doesnt like to share them.

When John and Lorraine finally get to met Mr.Pignati he makes them feel    like home and shows them around. John and Lorraine discovers that Mr.Pignati had a liking for pig statues. Now because they feel sorry for the Pigman they go to the zoo with him to meet this mean and vicious baboon named Bobo.

As John and Lorraine start coming more and more and staying at the Pigmans house, they find out what has caused his problems, and they help him when he has a heart attack. When he comes back from the hospital he finds that the two teens destroyed his pig collection at a party they had. So he makes them leave his house. Then the Pigman died because his best friend Bobo the baboon had died. John and Lorraine had blame there selves for Mr.Pignati awful death.

Now that the Pigman is died John and Lorraine have no place to go, no place to hide, and nobody to go to when they just need somebody to talk to.

John has deicide that he is going to acting school after graduation. But he just doesnt want to ware a suit everyday. I though this book was good in some ways but not in others. I personally think I am like the baboon for example wide and crazy.

The Pigman is about this boy and girl who are friends, and they hate school. The boys name is John and the girls name is Lorraine. The two kids play a prank on the phone and they call this old man named Pignati. They say they are a charity.

The story takes place at Mr. Pignatis house. John and Lorraine go to his house to pick up the charity money that the Pigman is giving to the kids.

John and Lorrain and Pigman are roller skating through the house and Pigman drops                                                                                 Mr. Pigman goes to the hospital and then comes home to his pig collection broken. Then the kids go to the zoo with Pigman to see Bobo and Bobo died and then Pigman dies.                                       The story is told from two points of view. One chapter is told from Lorraines point and the next chapter is told from Johns point of view. I think it was good how they did it so you can get both sides if the story.

This story is about life and the consequences you have in it. This book is told in Johns and Lorrains point of view which is two of the main characters .The other main character is Mr.Pignati.

John and Lorrain were having a telephone marathon and Lorrain picked out Mr.Pignatis name because he only lived a few blocks away. Lorrain was talking to Mr.Pignati as a charity worker and asked him to donate some money to her charity. Mr.Pignati wanted them to come over and collect the money and when John and Lorrain got there they discovered that he was a very lonely man and he collected pigs. That is how he got his nick name The Pigman. So John and Lorrain kept coming back to Mr.Pignati house.

The Pigman, Lorrain, and John was roller skating threw the house. The Pigman stopped and looked at john he was having a heart attack.

John called 911 because Lorrain was in shock and an ambulance got Mr.Pignati. When Mr.Pignati was in the hospital John and Lorrain had a party in the Pigmans house and accidently broke the pig collection he had. When Mr.Pignati got home he saw that his pig collection had been broken and he banished them from his house.

I thought this book is pretty good. I would recommend this book to pretty much anybody

The book is called The Pigman and the author is Paul Zindel. It is about a teenage boy named John Conlan, a teenage girl named Lorraine Jensen, and a lonely man named Angelo Pignati, or known simply as the Pigman. John and Lorraine nicknamed Mr. Pignati the Pigman because he took them to show off his pig collection. This book is intended to be read by pre-teens, teenagers, and young adults, and it would be very much enjoyed.
John and Lorraine start to play a telephone game, and happened to call the Pigman. So they visit him, and feeling for him being lonely, they start to visit him more often. The first day they went to the zoo and the Pigman introduces them to Bobo, an ugly baboon with a bad attitude. Days later, the Pigman has a heart attack and John and Lorraine take him to the hospital. While the Pigman is recovering in the hospital, John and Lorraine throw a party at his house, which goes very badly.
Once the Pigman returns back home, he sees that his pig collection is broken, and banishes everybody from his home. Feeling guilty, John and Lorraine take him to the zoo to see Bobo, but they find out that Bobo has died. As a result, John and Lorraines lives are changed forever.
This book has John and Lorraine call the Pigman, becomes friends with him, and their lives are changed forever. This book is very dramatic, and the main point of this book is that major events can happen over little things. As John had said, That day something in us had died, and our lives changed form that point on.
This is a very great book, very dramatic in the end, and many people will enjoy this book. This book will have eyes glued to it, and will make you want more. Overall, anybody that can get this book should read it.
I enjoyed this book very much because John and Lorraine are people that you can connect with very well. For example, they both have dreams that there parents wouldnt agree on, but they want to do it any way. I believe that at times minor problems can happen and can cause major ones later. We all have been or will be in one of those points at least once in our lifetime. The Pigman is also a character that you can connect with, too. For example, we all feel lonely at times, whether it is a few minutes to many years. We also collect different things, as the Pigman did, even if people may find it strange.
I also enjoyed this book because the author, Paul Zindel, did a great job on describing different objects. For example, when he described John and Lorraines eyes, it put the perfect image into your mind. The events he also described well, especially at the party, what was going on, you could imagine that you were right there. With the combination of the people you can connect with and the clear descriptions, it really turns out to be a great book.

Book title and author: The Pigman by Paul Zindel

Title of review: The Pigman

Number of stars (1 to 5)

The Pigman is a journey I think through friendship and trust to hold the friendship together it is a book that all readers that like action and heart felt stories should read this book.

The characters in the story John and Lorraine in the beginning start the story as Lorraine is a girl who is self cautious about herself sees this boy who she never has noticed before and they sat together on the bus John starts laughing and Lorraine thinks he is laughing at her but he is not, so all of the sudden she starts laughing with him and that is how they became friends. One day at a friends house they are playing a game to see how long they can keep anyone who there finger landed on in the phone book on the phone. Lorraine was next and her finger landed on Angelo pignati she called him he answered the phone she kept him on the phone for a good while and then john took the phone and told him that it was a charity organization and they were asking for donations and Mr. Pignati told them to come over to his house and he would get there money for charity. When they came over they talked to him for a while then he took them back into a room and showed them his collection of pig ornaments and they were from all across the world. He got there money and they left and they became friends with him they would go to the zoo and Mr. pignati  would introduce them to BoBo the baboon who was his best friend then one day Mr. Pignati had a heart attack and went to the hospital when he got home he saw that John and Lorraine had a party and some of his wifes clothes were torn and some of his pigs were broken a couple of days after they went to the zoo and found out BoBo had died at that moment Mr. Pignati fell to his knees then you will have to read it to find out what happened.

In the end the kids are filled with regret and sadness.

So the kids went on living there life full of regret of what they did.

I think the pigman teaches a lesson to all young adults. The book is a very good book because it was a book that was very sad and heart felt it was a book that I think should be read by every young adult because it also contains life skills and

Lessons for life. I would rate this book a five star book. This book really caught my attention in chapter two. This all explains that you should never judge a book by it is cover because it always has a twist.

This is the story called the Pigman by Paul Zindel. This book is about two sophomores who meet this old man who lives alone and collects pigs and likes strange food over a telephone game. John who is know as the bathroom bomber because he use to set of bombs in the bathroom and Lorraine who is the quiet type of girl. But what they dont know is when Mr.Pignati thinks that they are a charity he invites them over to give them a donation. But Lorraine does not think it is a good idea till John talks her into it.

After they meet the Pigman they become great friends and the next day the Mr. Pignati invite them to the zoo where he shows them Bobo a baboon that he feeds every day and from then on they are over at Mr. Pignati house every day. All till the Mr. Pignati had heartache and was rush to the hospital. When they visit Mr. Pignati he say to watch the house for him and feed Bobo. When John talks Lorraine into having a party nothing really breaks till Norton finds out and when John discoveries Norton steal Mr.Pignati stuff Norton runs out the back door breaking all of Mr. Pignati pigs. Then Mr. Pignati surprising come home early and orders every one out of the house. John and Lorraine was token home by the cops. The next day when they try to get in touch with Mr. Pignati and ask him to go to the zoo.

I thought the book was good not really my kind of book but it was very interesting I think it is a book worth reading and one that should be recognized. Also it gives a good lesson on life.

This is a good book about how a nice old man who they thought might have been a weirdo and starts a good friendship. Who spent his money on them like nobody has before and really cares about them. And teaches them a good lesson about it how you make your life.

I really think everyone should read this book. I really like it and think it teaches a great lesson about life. And how you should respect older people and the lesson they have to share. Also I think more people should do tech step because it is very simple to use.

This story is one of the best Ive ever read, it keeps you guessing and is a thriller till the end. I recommend this book to any person who is interested in something worth reading. In the story there are two teens John and Lorraine (one who doesnt care and one that cares a little bit more).

In the beginning of the story John and Lorraine meet after school to go to a friends house like always after dealing with there parents, and pull out the phone book. Todays Lorraines day to choose a name out of the book, when she does it is a man by the name of Mr. Angelo Pignati, this is were the story begins.  Throughout the story the characters go through a lot of troubled times but in the end John and Lorraine feel emptier then ever when something happens to the pigman.

At first I thought the end was going to be a happy story but it instead left me crying when I was done reading it. So the story goes on and John and Lorraine are in for a few surprises when one day they come over and things go wrong. The Pigman and the two of them are playing around and suddenly there calling 911 and he ends up in the hospital, hes ok but when he comes home, lets just say he isnt very he isnt very happy.

In the end everything seems to fall apart but if you want to know how the story ends youll have to read the book to find out if you think its happy or sad.

This story is an intense sense of happiness, sadness, and, loneliness, the author Paul Zindel new what he was writing. I thought the book was one of the best Ive ever read, and the characters fit there parts like it actually happened in real life. I hope that you get the chance to read such a good book.

This is a book about two high school students who meet a man by the name of Mr. Pignati on a prank call, and from then on it was never the same for John and Lorraine. In the book The Pigman, Paul Zindel writes of John and Lorraine, two high school students who met Mr. Pignati over a prank call which turns out to be the start of an amazing friendship. The authors purpose is to leave you sitting on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next between the characters. I would recommend this book to teens and adults because it was very clear on how we should act upon others in need. I am also like John because I thought his pranks were igneous.

The author is very descriptive in the first few chapters by explaining what John and Lorraine look like, along with the librarian and Mr. Pignati. The book is very inspiring on the way we all act. I believe that Paul Zindel was explaining that, things can happen on accident and lead to great adventures. John and Lorraine keep Mr. Pignati company while his wife is gone by going with him to the zoo, going shopping, and just talking. Mr. Pignati also collects statues of pigs and loves them dearly. He shows John and Lorraine his collection and they are amazed. Later on in the book John and Lorraine find out that Mr. Pignatis wife had died and he is all alone. Later on John, Lorraine, and the Pigman are rollerblading around the house, John runs up the stair sand then something horrible happens. Then while the Pigman is away John and Lorraine have a wild party at the Pigmans house, during the party the Pigmans pig collection is destroyed.

The setting in this book is mostly at Mr. Pignatis house, some in the school and the zoo. The characters are very compassionate and friendly towards each other. The plot is very well organized and understandable. John and Lorraine are both the narrators, so the story is from their point of view.

Like I said before, I would recommend this book to teens and adults. This is a book that will you will not be able to put down because it is exiting and will leave you wondering what will happen next. In the end of the book John and Lorraine had noticed that something had changed in them, and that they would never be the same again. The characters in this book learn a lesson by respecting others and their property.

I give this book five stars because I think a lot of people can relate to this book in some way. Paul Zindel describes everything very well in the story and makes it seem like John and Lorraine are actually with you telling you of there time with the Pigman.
