Book title and author: The Pigman by Paul Zindel

Title of review: Why read The Pigman

Number of stars (1 to 5):  3

The Pigman was not my favorite book in the world, but it was not my least favorite, either. I did enjoy parts of it, and I would probably re-read it at some point.

The Pigman was interesting, I guess, but it did get confusing from time to time. It was pretty well written, if you like realistic fiction. The story is told by two teenagers, John and Lorraine. They befriend Mr. Pignati or, the Pigman in the oddest of ways: A prank call. While pretending to be collecting money for some sort of charity, John and Lorraine go to Mr. Pignatis house to get the money he would be happily donating. After the first visit, John and Lorraine start visiting Mr. Pignati more and more. The two teens dont usually feel comfortable at home, at school, or anywhere else, but they do at Mr. Pignatis home. John and Lorraine do cause an accident, and then they make a big, big mistake. Read the book and find out what that mistake is.

The characters were different then most characters Ive ever read about. I really felt like I could relate to them all, most of all Lorraine. The setting was also different, too. I never really realized were it took place, perhaps somewhere in New York. Honestly, it mostly took place at Mr. Pignatis house. I think that the theme was either friendship or guilt, or maybe a little of both. I liked the style of this book because Ive never read anything like it.

My conclusion is that the book is strange, has many twists, and is full of surprise. It was a good book with a good plot, but like I said, it can be confusing. I might recommend this book.

The book is nice. I recommend it to anyone from the age of eleven and up. I do still feel a bit confused, but most of my questions were answered.

He laughs the whole way to school then she starts laughing with him thinking that he is laughing at her. When he is not laughing at her, he is just laughing. Then they became friends.

One day they go to their friends house to make prank calls. The point of making the phone calls was to see who could talk on the phone the longest. When Lorraine turn is next she decides to peek. She ends up picking guy by the name of Mr. Pignati. Lorraine said that she picked him because he lives on that street. When he answers he talks so cheerfully. She tells him that she is part of a L & J Fund. Mr. Pignati says that hell give them ten dollars. When they go to collect his money, Lorraine and John gets scared that Mr. Pignati might hurt them. Know they go to his house everyday to see him. They also go to the zoo with him sometimes. One day Mr. Pignati asks them if they want to see his pigs. They thought he had real pigs put he just collects them. Then One day Mr. Pignati has an heart attack. He has to go to the hospital.

While Mr. Pignati is at the hospital the kids are at the house alone. One day they are looking in his room and find out that his wife is dead. Then on en Mr. Pignati, Lorraine< And him got at the store e day John decided to have a party. The party got a little to out of control. When John gets out the skates, from when Mr. Pignati, Lorraine< And him got at the store. Then Lorraine goes into his room and gets out his wifes dresses and puts it on. Then Mr. Pgnati comes home unexpectedly. When he comes in he gets mad because on of his wifes dresses is ripped, some of the pigs are broken, and the house is a mess.

Lorraine and John call Mr.Pignati and ask him if he wants to go to the zoo to see one of Mr. Pignatis favorite animal Bobo. When they get to the zoo Bobo is not there&& Youll have to read the book to find out the end of the story.

I thought the story was okay. It wasnt one of my favorites books. I had to read it for an assignment at school in reading. I thought it wasnt bad but not a book I would read for fun.

Title of review: The Pigman Review

Number of stars (1 to 5): 3

The book The Pigman is a book that I think will never get old. This book is interesting and funny.  There are many different feelings this book cause. The Pigman is the book that you could set down and read all night long.

In the book The Pigman many things happen. The thing that is shocking when Mr. Pignatis pig collection is broken. Mr. Pignati is the Pigman is a nice old man. I think he is the nicest character in the book. Lorraine and John met the Pigman  by prank calling him.

I think this book a some what suspenseful. Some suspense happens when John and Lorraine have a party at Mr. Pignatis house and someone ended up breaking the Pigmans pig collection. In the end the Pigman forgave them for what they had done.

For forgiving them John and Lorraine take the Pigman to the zoo. Although they thanked him by taking Mr. Pignati to the zoo, it still seams that they used him. Like when they used his house to through the party.

I would recommend this book to anyone. This was an excellent book. A great book for summer reading.

The Pigman

The Pigman by Paul Zindel

A book review on The Pigman

Three Stars

The Pigman is a book written by Paul Zindel. It is about two sophomores named Lorraine and John. These two teenagers are telling their story about this guy they met, who they nicknamed Pigman because he had a collection of glass pigs. Lorraine and John first talked to this guy while prank calling. He sounded lonely so they went to his house, and they all became friends. Lorraine and John took advantage of the old man. While he was in the hospital after having a heart attack, Lorraine and John decided to have a party at his house. They practically ruined all of his pig collection and his dead wifes clothes. When the Pigman returned he was angry with them and told them not to come back to his house. Lorraine and John felt terrible so they asked the Pigman if he wanted to go to the zoo. The Pigman agreed, even after what Lorraine and John did to him. Once they got to the zoo, the Pigman realized that his friend, BoBo the baboon died, the Pigman dropped dead. Lorraine and John then realized that they intruded on the Pigmans life and really felt bad about it. They had learned to love the Pigman, and missed him more than they could imagine. I enjoyed reading this book. I liked it because it was about teenagers, and it was a very good example on how teenagers think, and how they act. It would be a good book for anyone to read, not just teenagers. I would recommend it to anyone.

In the town of Stapleton, John Conlan and Lorraine Jensen befriend a lonely old man they call Pigman. The Pigman is a story of two high school sophomores who make friends or take advantage of a kind old man, depending on how you view the story. It is a young adult book
The story of the Pigman is complex tale of friendship, trust, and one lonely old man in need of a friend. When a telephone game leads John and Lorraine to the home of Mr. Angelo Pignati as charity workers to collect ten dollars from a friendly man they find that he is in need of a friend. However Mr. Pignati wants more from them than they from him, he wants company, and someone to talk to while his dear Conchetta is visiting family in California. Later on though the kids find the horrible piece of paper stating Conchetta isnt in California shes dead! The kids then decide to forget about the money and help this man, they are shown his collection of ceramic pigs; his only friend other than the two them, Bobo a baboon at the local zoo; and taken shopping with a credit card! When Mr. Pignati falls ill however things began to change, John and Lorraine decide to throw a party the night of Mr., Pignatis return. At the end of the night Conchettas clothing is destroyed, the pigs are broken, and the house is a mess. On top of all that the next time they visit the zoo Bobo has died. This is the final straw for the Pigman he dies at the zoo. Therefore John and Lorraine blame themselves for his death which is what persuaded them to write this memorial epic to start with.
I liked The Pigman, I thought it was set in the late 70s and may have been out of date but dont stop reading it because you dont get the full affect unless you read it all. It wasnt my favorite book but it was a timeless lesson involved. I especially like when John and Lorraine dress in Conchettas and the Pigmans clothes and acted as though he was an actor and she a famous writer. I also liked when they were all roller skating around the house and acting as though no one had a care in the world. I think that as the story evolves the kids become the adult and Mr. Pignati becomes like their child while in the hospital. Also I think the author hints at some feelings and possible a relationship forming between John and Lorraine in the middle of the book.
In conclusion The Pigman is a three star classic full of mystery sadness and guilt of the Pigmans death. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading classics.

My book review is on The Pig man, originally written by Paul Zindel. The story had three main characters in the story; John, Lorraine, and Mr. Pignati. Each one of the characters has several conflicts throughout the story. The story in my opinion is a big suspension builder. It is like that in the whole story.

John and Lorraine is students in Franklin High School. John is a trouble maker. His freshman year he got the nickname Bathroom Bomber. He drinks and smokes Lorraine thinks it was because he watched his dad do it when he was younger. John wants to be an actor when he grows up. Lorraine is an intelligent girl. Her mother doesnt like her looks. She wants to be a psychiatrist when she grows up. Mr. Pignati is a retired electrician. He is very lonely man his wife is in California taking care of his sister. He collects glass pigs for a hobby.
John and his friends including Lorraine have a prank call competition. Where you prank call someone and try to keep them on Where the phone the longest. That is how John band Lorraine got to know Mr. Pignati. Lorraine called him and told him that she was a representing a charity called the J & L Fund. Mr. Pignati offered ten bucks to them. John said ok and they went and visited him.

I kind of liked the story because it was pretty interesting. I think most people would like if they read it. The story is not that long thats why I was going to read it, and it was for school thing. Then it was a pretty good and I was really interested in it.

This book was a pretty good book. If you read it you probably wont want to put it down. It really had a lot of suspense thats why it was swo interesting tyo me. the characters were good for the story, and it got your imagination running when you read it.

Title of review:

Number of stars (1 to 5):3

This is the story called the Pigman by Paul Zindel. This book is about two sophomores who meet this old man who lives alone and collects pigs and likes strange food over a telephone game. John who is know as the bathroom bomber because he use to set of bombs in the bathroom and Lorraine who is the quiet type of girl. But what they dont know is when Mr.Pignati thinks that they are a charity he invites them over to give them a donation. But Lorraine does not think it is a good idea till John talks her into it.

After they meet the Pigman they become great friends and the next day the Mr. Pignati invite them to the zoo where he shows them Bobo a baboon that he feeds every day and from then on they are over at Mr. Pignati house every day. All till the Mr. Pignati had heartache and was rush to the hospital. When they visit Mr. Pignati he say to watch the house for him and feed Bobo. When John talks Lorraine into having a party nothing really breaks till Norton finds out and when John discoveries Norton steal Mr.Pignati stuff Norton runs out the back door breaking all of Mr. Pignati pigs. Then Mr. Pignati surprising come home early and orders every one out of the house. John and Lorraine was token home by the cops. The next day when they try to get in touch with Mr. Pignati and ask him to go to the zoo.

I thought the book was good not really my kind of book but it was very interesting I think it is a book worth reading and one that should be recognized. Also it gives a good lesson on life.

This is a good book about how a nice old man who they thought might have been a weirdo and starts a good friendship. Who spent his money on them like nobody has before and really cares about them. And teaches them a good lesson about it how you make your life.

I really think everyone should read this book. I really like it and think it teaches a great lesson about life. And how you should respect older people and the lesson they have to share. Also I think more people should do tech step because it is very simple to use.

Number of stars (1 to 5): 3

John and Lorraine, sophomores of Franklin High School, are the outsiders of the cliques. They meet when Lorraine sits with John at the bus stop, and their endless laughing brings them together. John is the class clown of the school! He is known for his fruit rolls and bathroom bombs. When Lorraine is the quiet one and has a strict mother who hates men and boys.

When one day, Lorraine prank calls an elderly man named Mr. Angelo Pignati. He talks endlessly to Lorraine, and then finally Lorraine tells Mr. Pignati that she has called to ask from money for the L&J fund. Mr. Pignati agrees, and this is where their troubles begin.

As they skip school to go pick up the money, Lorraine backs down but finally agrees to go. When they arrive, Lorraine feels sorry for the man and agrees to go to the zoo. They meet a baboon named BoBo. Soon enough, Mr. Pignati has a nickname, The Pigman, and all goes well until a dreadful accident happens.

As the Pigman comes home, John and Lorraine gets into major trouble. They throw an out-of-hand party that destroys the Pigmans pig collection and his wifes clothing line, they get caught by the police, and John is drunk!

The Pigman returns, what happens, well& I cannot tell you that, instead read the book and find out!

The book, Pigman, was not of my best interest. I enjoyed it at parts and highly recommend to those who love to read a lesson-filled book. But, I am more of the action-filled book. But, I have nothing against Paul Zindels books. But, this book did not hold much of my interest.
