The earth-shattering conclusion to Veronica Rossi's "masterpiece" Under the Never Sky trilogy and sequel to the New York Times bestselling Through the Ever Night (Examiner.com).

Their love and their leadership have been tested. Now it's time for Perry and Aria to unite the Dwellers and the Outsiders in one last desperate attempt to bring balance to their world.

The race to the Still Blue has reached a stalemate. Aria and Perry are determined to find this last safe-haven from the Aether storms before Sable and Hess do-and they are just as determined to stay together.

Meanwhile, time is running out to rescue Cinder, who was abducted by Hess and Sable for his unique abilities. And when Roar returns to camp, he is so furious with Perry that he won't even look at him, and Perry begins to feel like they have already lost.

Out of options, Perry and Aria assemble a team to mount an impossible rescue mission-because Cinder isn't just the key to unlocking the Still Blue and their only hope for survival, he's also their friend. And in a dying world, the bonds between people are what matter most.

In this final book in her stunning Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi raises the stakes to their absolute limit and brings her epic love story to an unforgettable close.

I highly loved the first 2 books in this series, and could not wait for INTO THE STILL BLUE. I'm kind of a Perry fangirl, (okay, more like a Perry stalker, but whatever), and I need to know how his story ends. And yes, I need to know how the story ends for all the characters, too.

What I really loved about this book, was how Rossi doesn't make everything perfect. Aria, Perry, Roar and everyone else have to go through some pretty intense, horrible things in this book. I cried, I laughed, I screamed, and at a couple points I curled up into a tiny ball and wasn't sure I wanted to keep reading. I'm glad I did.

Not only is the story believable (meaning the characters lives aren't perfect), but the characters feel like family. Aria and Perry's romantic love is not the only focus and I love that. Friendships, hatred, jealousy, heartbreak, and selflessness area all explored in this trilogy. Don't' get me wrong, I loved Aria and Perry's scenes. But I greatly appreciated the story of all the other characters as well, and how Aria and Perry related to them.

I was preparing myself for a heartbreaking ending. I was ready for whatever Ms. Rossi threw at me, or at least I thought I was. I'm not going to spoil it for you, but have tissues ready, and maybe even something you can throw across the room at times. The ending makes sense and I made peace with that. I appreciate an author who can write the story her characters deserve, not the story the readers want. Great job Veronica Rossi. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next!

This has been a year of series enders and there are quite a few that have garnered some mixed reactions from readers, myself included. It started to feel like every "final" book I picked up made me feel like I wanted to weep and then die. (Just kidding. Maybe.)

But then INTO THE STILL BLUE comes along and everything is right with the book world again. *happy sigh*

Don't get me wrong, this book dragged my heart through an aether storm of emotions and it truly is an epic, gut-wrenching, conclusion, but I can't imagine Aria and Perry's journey ending any other way. Veronica Rossi stayed true to her story and her characters, which as a reader, (and a lover of all things, Peregrine) I SO APPRECIATED!

INTO THE STILL BLUE explores not only the bonds of romantic love, but of life-long friendship, forgiveness, sacrifice and even redemption. It offers hope and new beginnings and I while I was satisfied with the way it ended, I'm not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet. I'M NOT READY!

I'll admit that I was holding out hope that by some magical twist of aether that Liv would be alive somehow and Roar's heart would be patched up, but alas...

Fantastic ending to this series and fans will not be disappointed!

Into the Still Blue is the final book in the Under the Never Sky series. The situation for Perry, Aria, and The Tides is desperate. The Aether storms are getting worse, their population grew rapidly with the addition of Outsiders, and Sable and Hess have Cinder. Perry and Aria plan a rescue mission, both because Cinder is their friend and because he’s their only hope of getting to the Still Blue.

First, these have been some of my favorite covers and titles of a series. The covers have been gorgeous and the titles feel like they belong in a poem. The first two books are some of my favorites as well so I was really excited to received this one. So excited that I set aside the books I was in the middle of so I could read this one.

It didn’t disappoint. The only reason it wasn’t a one-night read is because I took cold medication before starting to read so I really just couldn’t keep my eyes open, though I tried. And tried. This is one of those books where, even though I didn’t like or agree with all the decisions the characters made or their reactions to events, I could understand where they were coming from. The action started and just didn’t stop(I think I used to have fingernails before this book). I really loved that some of the characters were able to keep me guessing about their motives and intentions.

I loved how obvious the character development of Aria became in this book too. Seeing the rescued Dwellers and their reactions and how Aria reacted to them. Perry and Roar both go through a lot of growing in this book too, and we see a lot more of characters like Brooke and Soren, who both managed to grow on me. And Cinder, oh that boy’s been through too much and seen to much for his age. I just wanted to hug him.

After finishing Through the Ever Night, there were so many thoughts in my head about how the finale could end, how I hoped it would end, but after reading Into the Still Blue, I can’t imagine it ending any other way. It’s such a great finale to a great series and Perry and Aria are one of my favorite couples.

I got this ARC from The Regulator, the indie bookstore where I live. Holy bleepity bleep, this book was SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!!!! Quite possibly the best in the series! There is action, romance, high stakes, sacrifice, and so much more. I can't tell you to read it now, since it's not out yet, but if you haven't, read the first two books in the trilogy and join the legions of fans already impatiently awaiting this book. It's one of the best dystopian series I've read in a while and is just amazing.

The story is dual POV between Aria and Perry. Aria started the series as a Dweller, a person who lived in a pod to escape the deadly Aether storms. Perry is an Outsider, living in the wilds among people known as savages. In book one, they happened to meet and their lives changed forever. Aria's character arc is flawless. She changes tremendously, mostly for the better. Both characters become more open to the idea of people who are not like them. Old friends and enemies alike turn up in this book, and the characters risk everything they have to save each other. It's fun seeing how Aria interacts with the people she grew up with after living with Perry and the Outsiders for the two previous books. Oh, and there's a new character who I just LOVE! It's also really nice that the angst is GONE! Book two was too angsty for me, but by this point, relationships were accepted, heartbreak was inevitable, and death was a promise to those who could not change.

The plot is phenomenal. The book starts strong and remains that way the entire length of the book. The characters refuse to give up, and keep fighting through every situation. Thank you Veronica Rossi for writing such an amazing book. The one problem I had with the book was towards the end. Basically, I wish there was more information on exactly what happened after the climactic scenes. Where did the characters go, what did they do, what exactly does the ending entail? All in all, a very good book, but the one part that I felt was really important simply wasn't done justice. Even still, I give the book five stars for a great series ending.

P.S. I still think the book should be called Into the Forever Blue, it goes with the theme more.
