Where is the Body? The book is entitled The Body of Christopher Creed. So, I ask again where is the body? We all know someone like high schooler Chris Creed. A pain in the you know what. A hanger on. A guy who has a particular way of speaking, like using the phrase I would venture to say& A guy no one likes or talks to, who everybody beats up, but who just keeps coming back. Well, one day he didnt come back. And in not doing so, he forever changed the lives of Torey Adams, Ali McDermott, and Bo Richardson.
The question is how could this nobody change such different lives? Torey was on the high school football team. He was friends with the smartest, coolest kids in school and he dated Leandra, the prettiest girl in school. Ali was the girl with the reputation, the girl who, as the saying goes, was passing through high school on her back if you know what I mean. She and Torey had been childhood friends but had drifted apart. Bo, short for boon or boondocks was a tough guy who bragged that he had slashed 1,000 car tires last year and would fight anyone.
Chris changed Toreys life simply by sending an e-mail to the high school principal before he disappeared. In it, he said he wished he was born someone else, Torey Adams, for instance. Ali, on the other hand, lived across the street from Chris and watched him at night through their bedroom windows. She saw how Chris military mom treated him, gave him no privacy, wanted him to conform to her life. Maybe she drove him to suicide because he couldnt live up to those expectations. Bo knew what a hard life was, living on the wrong side of the tracks. And he was Alis friend, a good friend.
So this unlikely trio tries to find out what happened to Chris. In The Body of Christopher Creed, author Carol Plum-Ucci provides an intriguing and riveting mystery and a thought provoking look at high school students. Oh yes. I forgot to tell you. She also provides a body. Whose, you ask? Im not telling! This is one of my favorite books.

I can't believe I choked my way through this book. The story was completely boring and the ending was so uncreative it wasn't even there. The begging starts off moderately interesting but the interest wears off soon. This book was obviously aimed towards teenagers and the theme of people gossiping. I found that horribly boring. The main character seems to take all this gossiping to heart which I see as highly unprobable. The author does so not-so-great job of depicting a male in "Tory"'s age group. Guys at this age group would never respond to gossip and the many other subjects ie. sex, drugs/alcohol that the narrator often reflects upon.

Overall story: boring
Main character: uninteresting
Ending: just awful.

This is an okay book. I wasnt exactly impressed by this book. Ive read other books by Carol Plum-ucci which i thought were better. The beginning of the book is very boring and i didnt like it but it got better as i went on. I would recomend reading "The night my sister went missing" that is my favorite book by her. =]

This book is so awesome it keeps your attention you just can't wait till you find out what happens at the end! I htink there needs to be more books out there like this one for young adults. Books like this would keep them reading instead of wachting so much T.V. I know thats what it did for me!
My favorite part about it was all the little twist and turns it has in it. You think something is going to happen and then it dosen't which is really cool. Its so awesome that I found this book!

When Christopher Creed disappears no one seems to care..that much at least. Chris was the kind of kid who has no friends. But what unsettles the town the most about the boy is that his body hasn't been found and there is no trace. The fact is he just DISAPPEARED. One kid, Torey and his two friends are unwilling to let it go. They are determined to find out the truth about Chris Creed no matter what the costs. But as each revelation is uncovered they find themselves digging themselves into a hole that they may never be able to get out of.

This book will force you to change the way you think about people around you. To realize that even the littlest things you say can affect others. Pick up this book. You won't regret it.

As a fifteen year old bookworm, I have read many books in my time. However, I have never stumbled upon an author quite like Carol Plum-Ucci. In "The Body of Christopher Creed," she sucks the reader in and will not let go until the book is over. Everytime I was forced to put the book down, my mind wandered. I couldn't quit thinking about it.

What I love about this book is its psycology and ability to amaze. She captures a teenager's mind so perfectly, and proves how something small, someone seemingly insignificant, can turn a life upside down. To me, the characters were real, some very much like people in my own life. It stunned me.

I give this book five stars, because it is so brilliantly written. It was spooky, suspenseful, and almost irritatingly unsolvable. I love this book, and would reccomend it to anyone.

This book was a very intriguing read, which is really good as I don't get to read this suspense books often. The author tackled some issues well, and I found the ending very satisfying, as I could never have come up with something as creative as that. Well done, Carol Plumucci! I recommend this book. :)
