I wish there was only today, just right now, and no forever.

It seems fitting that I fell in love in Paris. Peel back a thin layer of reality and under the city's glamorous surface is a battleground for immortal enemies.

Because with Vincent, reality is an illusion. Handsome, chivalrous, and witty, he's got everything I've ever wanted in a boyfriend...except mortality. But when I chose Vincent, I chose love over reason and safety.

Vincent swore to avoid death--to resist his very nature so that we could be together. But I refuse to stand by and watch him suffer.

I know I'll do whatever it takes--even if it means lying to the people I love--to fight against a fate that is trying to tear us apart.

UNTIL I DIE has two great things working for it: an unique paranormal twist and it's set in Paris, France. I loved the first book DIE FOR ME and was excited to be able to read the next book in this series.

The setting is a character by itself. Paris, France. What's not to love? The lush Parisian backdrop adds flavor and romance to this paranormal tale. Kate's in love with Vincent, who isn't the normal hawt Parisian boy. No, he's a Revenant, someone who dies for another. This complicates their love. Not all are in favor of Kate's undead boyfriend. Plus dangerous foes, Numas, are out to stop Kate and Vincent.

Add to this there's a mystery on who is the fabled 'Champion'. Two new Revenants reappear including centuries old Violette and her partner Arthur. Violette is very interested in finding more on the Champion, even to using the dangerous Numas.

Vincent and Kate go on their own search through Parisian galleries to find out more about this Mythological being. All the while the reader is swept away into this paranormal filled with romance, mystery, and danger.

I've never been to Paris but I feel as if I've been by reading this series. I even looked up a number of the sites online.

The hooky ending left me wanting more! I won't reveal what happens but let's just say the mystery intensifies and more is at risk. Including Kate's heart.

Romantic tale that takes readers on a mysterious trip through the streets of Paris. Can't wait to read more!
Good Points
1. Unique paranormal twist
2. Set in Paris, France

“May I guess this has something to do with the particularly hot undead guy you suck face with on a regular basis?”
? Amy Plum, Until I Die

Until I Die enchanted me from the very first page. Kate and Vincent have such a powerful chemistry. Kate is such an unexpected heroine, that you have no choice but to cheer for her.

Kate never thought that she would be living in Paris and dating a dead guy…well, okay, an undead-reanimating-zombie-without-the-yuckiness guy. After saving Vincent from the leader of the Numas; the bad undead guys, Kate has been accepted with open arms into the Revenant world, well maybe not completely.

Vincent decides that Kate needs to learn to protect herself so she gets her own personal trainer in the art of facing off with Numas.

Kate believes everything is going great with her and Vincent, then she realizes that Vincent is keeping something from her, something he believes will help them be together without him dying all the time. This would be great if it wasn’t hurting him. Now Kate decides to take matters into her own hands and sets out into the streets of Paris to save Vincent.

Action, adventure, drama, and romance intertwine to bring you a story that will leave an everlasting impression.
Good Points
This story line is very unique and captivating. It is a very refreshing change from vampires and werewolves!

How many times will he have to die?
And what about Kate, can she take the pain
Of seeing her lover constantly slain?

Of course dear Georgia we can’t forget
Will her judgment still be a threat?

All these answers I promise you shall find

For with the truth come more whys?
Read for yourself and discover the lies.

I was fortunate enough to receive an arc of Until I Die from Edelweiss Above the Treeline, and I started reading it the moment it downloaded.

It actually started out pretty slow with most of it focusing on character development--I even got discouraged at one point because I felt like nothing was happening. But I am SO GLAD I kept going--it really starts to pick up near the middle, and from that point, I just had to know what was going to happen.

Amy Plum did an excellent job of providing twists and turns--I mean, there were parts I never would have seen coming! Any time I tried to predict what the bad guys were up to, I was proven wrong. And even more interesting, Amy Plum doesn't even reveal who the antagonist is until the very end--another surprise I didn't see coming!

Why should you read this book?

1.) If you loved Vincent in the first book, you will truly love him in Until I Die. He is even more sexy, more mysterious, and more protective. I just love how hard he tries to keep Kate happy—even if it hurts him.

2.) You will learn even more about the Revenants--secrets they hide and prophecies they believe. You get bits and pieces of their history as the story unfolds.

3.) You will get to know the characters even better. I really think my favorite part of Amy Plum's Revenant series is the deepness of her characters. She knows how to write so that you feel like you know her characters--even the ones that aren't focused on like Gaspard, Jean-Baptiste, and some of the other revenants. I loved getting to know Ambrose and Jules more in this one--full of loyalty, trust, and charisma.

4.) And finally--the cliffhanger ending. I had to reread the last page a few times to see if I missed anything because I quite literally wanted to fall to my knees and scream, "You can't end there!" 2013 can't come soon enough!

5.) The new characters! There are a few new characters that play a large role in this book, and I really enjoyed seeing how other Revenants act, speak, fight, etc. We are used to the Paris revenants, but in this book we get to see some from other parts of the world.

I do wish there would have been more romance between Kate and Vincent. Don’t get me wrong, the romance is there, but it felt a little lacking, like it didn’t progress much from book 1. I wanted more of those secret moments where he touches her cheek and her stomach rolls; more of those kisses that just take your breath away; more of those oh la la moments that make you wish you were Kate! Hopefully, Amy Plum will go all out in the next installment (If I Should Die).

So finally, I urge you to push through the slower parts in the beginning because it is definitely worth it to see how the rest of the story unfolds!!!!!!

Words can't describe how much I adore this series. While some book sequels aren't as good as the original, this story had the same feeling as the first book.Plum's characters, plot, and details are astounding. Read it! You will NOT be disappointed! I can not wait for the final book!!!!

She definitely did this on purpose. At the end, let me warn you, it was a total cliff hanger. I wanted to scream in the middle of class (Not suppose to read during class...who gives a ****). It was a very good book otherwise..don't let anyone tell ya different till you read it yourself. It had just the right amount of action and drama in it. (I hate when books put to much drama [Trying to give people heart attacks?]).

I'm really glad I pre-ordered the book which I shall be doing with many other books in the future. At first I panicked because well the day it was supposed to be on my nook...it wasn't. So I was just having a fit! "Where the h*** is my book! I payed nine dollars for it so where is it!" that type of fit. Yes because this was after all my birthday gift card I had spent so it had better been up there! But in the end all I had to do was remove it from its archive then put it back. But the front cover picture still hasn't appeared though.
Good Points
It put good humor in the book, which I love, everything wasn't always very gloomy.

Until I Die is the second book in the Revenants series and it doesn’t disappoint. Amy Plum has crafted an intriguing novel with unique lore and strong characters all set in the beautiful city of Paris.

The story is orientated to a more in depth look at Revenant lore so we are plunged deeper into their background and history. Amy Plum has created a very unique lore and her attention to detail weaves a rich tapestry of romance, action and fun. Vincent remains the noble revenant but with his love for Kate he seeks to find a solution that both he and Kate can live with. This creates the basis of the plot for book 2.

The characters are well drawn and make the story. This novel isn’t as fast paced as Die For Me but it adds new characters that are incredibly enjoyable. Georgia, Kate’s sister, is more involved in the story and livens things up. Georgia’s confidence is an excellent example of a confident girl, self-assured girl. Arthur is cranky but surprisingly intriguing. And Violette is a lot of fun, outgoing, and charming when she wants to be. The new characters and more Georgia add a great new level to this already great story.

Overall Until I Die will leave readers longing for the final book. The ending is a dramatic cliffhanger that not every author could pull off but Amy Plum does it well. It is a daring move from a daring author and I think readers with both love it and hate it for all the right reasons. Until I Die is the perfect middle book leading up to the big finale we are all waiting for in If I Should Die. Lovers of paranormal romance won’t be able to put this book down.
