Zoey now knows that her old mentor is not what she claims to be. She's hiding something and doing things that Nyx doesn't like. Also Zoey is struggling with her best friend dying but not really being dead. Old enemies become friends and some friends are lost. It's all weighing on Zoey and then there are three guys that are keeping her mind from the things she should be focusing on. One of whom isn't whom he seems to be.

There was some stuff that bothered me in this one. I can sum it up in one word: Loren. The adult vampire that Zoey so stupidly fell for. Even at her age I would have know something wasn't right. I would have went more with Erik's thinking and that he just wanted sex but it turns out there was more there then that.

I wish Zoey was smarter than that. I get it, she needed to be that easily swayed for the plot to move the way it did but ugh. Just silly. I love how Aphrodite and Zoey worked together though. I loved that they found a way to save Stevie Rae. I do like that she and Erik broke up. I never really liked him. Don't know why but I just don't. Though I do feel bad for him....

I like how much more the plot moves in this one. Now more people know what's really going on. Zoey got more tattoos from Nyx and now there are warriors at House of Night because vampires are dying... it left off on a cliffhanger, so have the next one handy!

This is my favorite book out of the whole series! I like books with love triangles and this one has certainly got them with Zoey having 3 boyfriends, Heath, Erik and Loren.
Good Points
When I read this book I thought it was great, the house of night series hasn't disappointed me yet. I like how more things keep happening in the book so it doesn't get boring. I would definately recommend!

if you've read the first book then you already know about the extremely talented Zoey Redbird. in this book she nows that her goddess Nyx has chosen her and her friends for something that she can't even imagine. she knows that things aren't how they're supposed to be at the house of night and now they all have to band together to help out the school

The third book by P.C Cast was all about who you can trust. Zoey's friends turn out to be enemies and her enemies turned out to be friends. Then she finds her self in a position of having three boyfriends. (Loren, Health, and Erik) I like that in the story the author has a someone for everyone. Like Damion and Jack, or the twins and Erik's Friends. There was even someone for Stevie Rae before she died, and came back to life. It amazing how Zoey doesn't stop until Stevie Rae is okay or at the best she's going to get. Stevie Rae really needed a friend and Zoey was there.  This series was very similar to Harry Potter. But this series is great for teenagers. I loved everyone of these books so far.!!

light, interesting and teaches that even vampires go throguh stupid high school problems. although the buildup is really slow and gradual there is alot of intrigue in the middle causing this book to be highly entertaining. one wonders at the end what is left for dear zoey redbird? enjoyable.

So this book i also liked! zoey starts to become friends with aphrodite and zoeys friends were not to happy about it. But zoey couldnt say to much of what was going on because neferet could read minds. And zoey and aphorodite were the only ones that neferet couldnt read. But then neferet made a poet teacher go for zoey and zoey falls for him and she finds out that neferet put him up to it when really they were lovers. And in the middle of this shes tryna save her bestfriends humanity. Theres so much more to say but i dont want to ruin to much! just a good book

Lol Zoey's dealing with boy trouble. and you cant help but secretly love each character as it further explains who she is unfolding before the plot line. Her bumpkin country friend stevie Rea gets more entertaining each book! I enjoyed finding out more of who zoey is and whos shes going to be. Can you say.. High Priestess??

I loved it! In this second instalment of the House Of Night series, Zoey Redbird must face boy troubles, death, and then the discovery that her mentor and High Priestess of the House Of Night is not as everyone thinks she is. Zoey also discovers a group of undead vampyres, her classmates that have not survived the Change. Awesome!

I thought that i wasn't goning to like this book that much. But once i stared reading i couldn't out it down. I mean you have Zoey. She is nice, pretty, and smart...just not in the boy department. She goes through so many boys that it's not funny. But at the end she starts to see what she has done. I loved the book untill it got to the part about a professor Loren. I didn't like him at all. I knew something fishy was about him when he told zoey that he loved her. He really did her wrong. This book will make you made but the last book will make you love the series even more. SO YES READ ALL OF THESE BOOKS!!!
