Zara and Nick are soul mates, meant to be together for ever. But that's not quite how things have worked out. For starters, Nick has gone. He has been taken to the mythical place for warriors known as Valhalla. Zara and her friends might be able to get him back, it's just not going to be easy. Meanwhile a group of evil pixies is devastating Bedford, with more teens going missing every day. An all-out war seems imminent, and the good guys need all the warriors they can find. But even if Zara and her friends do discover the route to Valhalla, there's that other small problem: Zara's been pixie kissed. When she finds Nick, will he even want to go with her? Especially since she hasn't turned into just any pixie... She's Astley's queen.

Now that Nick has been captured to be a warrior and Zara kissed Astley to become a pixie queen, she is off on an adventure to get back Nick and return peace to her small town that is swarming with pixies.  Zara will never give up finding Nick even though she meets devastation and obstacles all along the way!  She has new responsibilities though now that she is Pixie Queen and she also has to deal with the family and friends that aren't exactly supportive of her new pixie self.

The first book in the series was good, not great but good, it peaked my interest though so I kept reading.  The second book was better and my interest in the series was pretty solid.  Then I read Entice and now I am completely hooked!! Entice was by far the best book of this series! The reasons why is that there is a ton more action and less teenage drama.  Zara isn't as whiney now and she is more proactive in her beliefs to save Nick and her town from the evil pixies! I love how Zara grows up a bit and I her self-confidence and determination is relatable.

Astley of course captures the hearts of everyone who reads Entice! You just can't help but to like him even though you don't want to. He is an awesome character.  He is such a nice guy and really wants to do anything he can to make Zara happy! He is passionate and protective and the nicest pixie there is!

Entice is jam packed with action, suspense, internal battles, dark and sad moments and moments to celebrate! Carrie's writing just gets better and better as these books go!  Looking forward to reading the last book of this series, not sure how I will manage until it's released!

Note to parents; this book is still clean, no sex just a kissing moment.  There are one or two bad words in the book but at times it can be pretty dark and scary so I recommend it only for older teens and adults.

Entice

Carrie Jones

Fans of the Twilight saga will find plenty of loves in this new addition to the paranormal romance genre. Entice is the third book in Carrie Joness series. In this book, Zara, the daring heroine, is out to rescue the love-of-her-life werewolf boyfriend, Nick, from Valhalla. (Yes, the same Valhalla from Norse mythology!) During the second book in the series, Captivate, Zara decides to allow the young and gorgeous pixie king Ansley to turn her into a pixie so that she could start her journey to rescue Nick. Ansley seems to be very considerate and understanding of Zaras need to rescue Nick. He even vows to help her rescue her wolf. Zaras previous experience with pixies has been far from kittens-and-roses innocence, but she willingly allies herself with the young pixie king. Then people close to her start dying. Suddenly, Zara and Ansley find themselves the target of treachery from the pixie world. Unfortunately, neither of them are able to figure out exactly who is responsible for trying to kill them. Ultimately, Zara makes it to Valhalla and has to battle the evil pixie king, Frank, who was responsible for sending Nick to the hall of fallen warriors in the second book. While battling Frank is difficult for the pacifist Zara, it is not her only problem. Zara has to constantly struggle with balancing her friends, family, and her new pixie king.

Jones includes plot twists and danger at every page turn in her third novel. Her writing style is simple and insightful, at least where the main characters are concerned. Capturing the zeal and intensity of teenage romances seems to be one of Joness writing strengths. The passion between Nick and Zara is sizzling, and would make Edward and Bella envious. But Nick and Zara arent the only characters with sparks. Readers can feel the embers between Zara and Ansley start to ignite, but Jones keeps us waiting to see what will happen between these two characters.

The ending of Entice leaves Zara with many decisions to make, and a secret that could expose Ansley for the type of pixie he really isfriend or foe. The door is wide open for a fourth novel.
