One cold, crisp night, Jack Sommers was faced with a choice—live forever according to the ancient, magical rules of Gaia, or die.

Jack chose to live, and in exchange, he became a Winter—an immortal physical embodiment of the season on Earth. Every year, he must hunt the Season who comes before him. Summer kills Spring. Autumn kills Summer. Winter kills Autumn. And Spring kills Winter.

Jack and Fleur, a Winter and a Spring, fall for each other against all odds. To be together, they’ll have to escape the cycle that’s been forcing them apart. But their creator won’t let them go without a fight.

This was a captivating, thrilling and exciting novel. The plot was original with these characters becoming the physical embodiment of the seasons on Earth and having to kill the season before them. That was really different and drew me in.

Jack (winter) and Fleur (spring) fall for each other against all odds and fight to be together, bringing Julio (summer) and Amber (autumn) along with their handlers on their quest for freedom. I liked these great cast of characters and reading about their struggle to survive.

I liked Cosimano’s previous books and this one did not disappoint. I would recommend this novel to fans of romance, adventure and those looking for something different.
