‘History FACTopia!’ by Paige Towler, illustrated by Andy Smith, starts off with a fact-filled table of contents, with more topics available in the pages of the book than one would think possible. From sports to pyramids, dogs to space, Ancient Rome to a study of the skies above, hauntings and ghosts to mummies, witches, lost treasures, curses, and even more (such as toilets, hair, teeth, and aliens, among a wealth of others), there is no doubt something for every interested history lover. Four hundred facts populate the pages of this book, chock full of colorful, engaging illustrations that will enchant any reader, young and old alike.

A glossary of historical terms, as well as one of cultures, civilizations, peoples, and periods grace the back matter of the book. There is also a page dedicated to the website sources consulted to make the book more relevant, credible, and trustworthy for readers. An index closes out the book, so that everyone can find what they are looking for rather simply in its pages. This book would be a fun read for kids, adults, families, and anyone else interested in history. Quizzing each other on the content within the pages of the book is sure to be a fun pastime!
