I really love having this book for our homeschool library! It is a fantastic introduction to different goddesses and the like from a variety of myths, religions, and cultures. I was thrilled that the women highlighted in this book were strong, powerful and charismatic characters; powerful female figures from around the world who have shaped beliefs.

The illustrations are stunning! They are super vibrant and highly detailed.

Included is an index for alphabetical searching , which is useful as the contents are divided into categories such as ruling and guiding, new life, and war and death. The book is aimed towards middle graders, but holds enough substance for YA or even adult readers as well.

The stories are perfect in length to break up to not overwhelm ones self, and would make a great collection of bedtime stories!
