i liked this book beacause it had humans and magic and it described the fairies as if they were real people. i was almost about to cry when the fairy got trapped. i really liked the centuar; he was really funny.

that little kid is the devil man!
he is really evil. i can't believe that he killed that poor fairy!!! i know he just needs some love, but DANG!! Pure EVIL!! and the body guard's sister, she's really stupid.

Artemis Fowl is a brillaint twelve-year-old genius. His father dead or missing and his mother delusional, Artemis is determined to restore the Fowl family fortune.

How, you ask?

By stealing fairy gold.

Holly Short is a LEPrecon, a Lower Elements Police Reconnnaisance officer. She's on the surface for a routine run and to refill her magic - and not expecting to be kidnapped by a Mud Man (human.)

But Artemis does kidnap her, throwing himself, Holly, his bodyguard Butler, and the entire fairy world into a crazy adventure that had me laughing out loud and unable to put it down! Although the plot will certainly appeal to younger readers, the intelligent, witty writing style will keep older readers amused too.

I love Artemis Fowl man. He's the epitome of cool. I knida wanna be like him. He's smart and won't take anything from anyone. He possesses a dogged determination. He did things that no one has ever done, translaing the book,escaping the time stop and evaing the blue rinse. I especially like the ending. It shows that he's not a complete monster and that he's human.

This book teaches that even the most prepared plans can go wrong. Artemis Fowl is a 12-year old KID and he has a higher intellect than a fully grown adult. He is portrayed to the Fairies as cold and ruthless, but in reality, is merely trying to fulfill his family's goal as though he were the head of the house. This book is an entertaining, non-stop adventure, from a time-field, to a tunneling dwarf, to a huge lumbering troll, to a radioactive bio-bomb.

It is an action-ish book. It is very detial oriented. i loved it. if you like action and advenure with mistery you will really like this book. It is a long, fun, and exciting book to read.
