Vampire Kisses is about a goth girl named Raven, she feels like she doesn't belong in Dullsville because she is the only one there who  craves darkness, believes in vampires and did I mention is the only goth there. Even though Raven comes from a wonderful family, they just don't understand her goth lifestyle ( her parents used to be hippies) and her brother Billy would never be caught dead at a cemetary. Then one day she hears that someone is finally moving into that old abandoned house that hasn't been used in forever( okay not that long) and that's how she meets Alexander Sterling the one she's been waiting for all her life, someone who finally accepts her for who she is and is a goth himself. But rumors start go around that him and his family are vampires, and Raven is determined to find out the truth.

Its an amazing story about acceptence, I loved how Raven always stuck with being herself even though she was ridiculed for it an was an outcast  for it she found that even if she wasn't accepted by them because she was accepted by the people who love her Becky(her bestfriend), Billy, her parents, Alexander and a buch of other people.

the author uses great imagery, but she uses a few words too often. for example, the word 'lingering' showed up noticably.
if you have read Stephanie Meyer's 'Twilight', 'New Moon' and 'Eclipse'
you may like this. it has romance but focuses more on action than the Twilight series does.
every ending of a book ends with suspense so if you dont like cliff-hangers, this book is not for you.
it is a shorter novel, too short in my opinion, i think she could have carried it on longer and most of the situations and mysteries are pretty predictable. but an all around good read

This book is one of the most addictive vampire books I have read, second only to the Twilight saga. It kept me reading into the wee hours of dawn...long past my bedtime...and hardly any book ever takes me away from my sleep.

The protagonist is easy to relate to - different and out of place, like most teen girls feel. The book is full of humor and wit - and maybe even a real vampire!
