this book is not written (The whole series is no longer written) by L. J. Smith. it was written a a ghostwriter. They company that hire L. J. Smith to write this series 'fire' her because they didn't like Delena(Damon and Elena). now the company or publisher hire another writer to write this book but they still say that is was written by L. J. Smith, which is completely wrong. The Vampire Diaries series and the Secret Circle series is no longer written by L. J. Smith. L. J. Smith wrote the first 3 books of Secret Circle and the rest is by a ghostwriter.
