The book is about four friends, who for the first time, will all be in different places for the summer. To "stay together" they share a pair of pants that magically fits all of them, despite their different body sizes. The pants brings each girl a different "discovery"; love, choices, family, and life.

This is one of my favorite books. I feel that everyone should read it because each character is so diverse that there is someone that everypne can relate to. I also would read the book before seeing the movie. If you liked the Princess Diaries series, you'll love this series.

The sisterhood of the travelling pants was a great read that makes you laugh and cry and i felt i could relate to the characters. I thought that the novel was really well written and can't wait for the fourth in the series. I recommend all teenage girls or anyone read this book and i give it 5 stars out of 5!

By now, everyone has seen the commercials about the movie, and even before that many of us had heard about this book. Could it live up to the hype? Yes, it can. In fact, this book is even better than I thought it would be.

Four friends, bonded since birth yet very different in personality and looks, find a pair of used blue jeans that magically fit each of them perfectly. Since they're about to spend their first summer apart, they make a pact to send the jeans back and forth amongst the four of them. This setup could easily backfire but it doesn't, and instead of being a distraction, the jeans serve to remind each girl of the friends that she has pulling for her from far away.

The individular storylines are each excellent, some funny, all moving, and I found myself moved to tears more than once. Tears, in fact, were streaming down my face, and I yet I loved it, because growing up definitely has moments like this. This really is a magical book, and teen girls are right on to like it as much as they do.

Wow. Where do I begin? yes, the begining was a little slow, but aren't all books? But the most I can say is too much for this box! My favorite series, the best oe is number 3, but this is where it all started. A good book on a realistic enough friendship for teens everywhere to relate. It's amazingly charming and the girs are a little bit of every girl around the world! I didn;t want it to end! I fell in love with the characters and they're boyfriends. :) Thank you Ann Brashares for these incredible books!

Friends since birth--their mothers were all in the same pregnancy aerobics class--they have spent almost every summer together. And now, for the first time ever, everyone is headed in different directions. Beautiful, artistic Lena will be in Greece with her grandparents, and Bridget is off to soccer camp in Mexico that is sure to put her tireless energy to the test. Carmen will finally have her father to herself for a whole summer in North Carolina, while poor Tibby will be stuck at home in Maryland, saving for a car But an unassuming pair of jeans, named the "Traveling Pants," transforms each of them. The power of these pants, sent from girl to girl, helps each of them through the trying experiences that often come with being 15 going on 16.

This is one of my favorite books!!!!!

This book is definetly a summer read that girls who spend the summer away from their friends can relate to. Far-fetched but inspiring to keep in touch with friends. Hurry and read it! You'll *heart* it!!!

This book was a great rainy day read. I loved how it was told with four different stories with four different girls who are all very different and all very best friends. my favorite character was Carmen. i liked how she just left her dad's. i don't think her dad should've acted the way he did, but if i were carmen i wouldn't have acted how she did. sometimes i wanted to cry because of how her father treated her. and i liked Lena and her story. i liked how she, in a way, confessed her love to the boy. i can't wait for the movie!!!!
