Summary

• The Notebook is a novel about the life of two soul mates, Noah and Allie, from when they were only teenagers to the end of their lives.
• Noah and Allie first met one summer in Noah’s hometown at only 17 years of age. They instantly fell in love and believed it was fate. Allie was forced to move and separate from Noah because of her parents.
• Allie’s parents did not want their daughter in a relationship with Noah since he did not come from a rich family. Both Allie’s Mother and Father believed their love was only young, teenage love; but little did they know, their love would last for an excessive amount of time.
• This book is mainly about the story of Noah and Allie’s love for each other withstanding for several years and the obstacles they came across together.

Opinion

• This book is a page-turner for readers of all ages. The Notebook is so intriguing because each section of the book never lets you down. The author, Nicholas Sparks, always leaves the reader thinking about the next turn Allie and Noah’s relationship may take. This book was definitely one of the best love stories I have yet to read.

Recommendation

• I would recommend The Notebook to anyone who is interested in love stories. I can guarantee that anyone who reads this book and who enjoys reading romantic novels will instantly fall in love with the twisted and complicated story of Noah and Allie.
Good Points
This book was such a phenomenal love story that I wasn't able to put down. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in reading realistic fictional love stories. This was one of my favorite books by Nicholas Sparks. I loved how he made the reader feel as though they were in the story with the characters. He also made the reader feel like they knew the characters personally and were eager to find out what happens next!

I had remembered hearing about how great the movie was and I had decided to get the book. I absolutely adored it. It was such a memorable book, from the plot, ending, characters. It was just so beautiful to see a real life fairy tale unwind. For every chapter you read, you get more and more interested in the book and Nicholas Sparks does an amazing job of adding that tiny bit of drama, yet not making it too dramatic. It was one of the best books that I've ever read and even though it was a bit mature for my age, I felt like the love was the most important part and theme throughout this entire story. I wouldn't hold back on recommending the book to anyone.

"The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks was about the life of Noah and Allie and where they first meet in their hometown. They're both only in their teens at this point, but they've already madly fallen in love with each other. However, her parents are rich snobs who don't see anything good about Noah and force them to break up. Her parents don't see anything but young love from this relationship. After the two go their separate ways, Allie becomes engaged, while Noah is still trying to find a way to get back Allie. When Allie comes back to see Noah, will they find their way back together? Are their feelings gone? The themes that showed through in the book were love and definitely withstanding love and it really is a must read.

You must get this book! My heart melted while reading it. You can feel the emotions and I frankly have yet to find an actual book that can communicate feelings as vividly as Nicholas Sparks had. The way Nicholas Sparks writes is like an exact romantic and I love love. I felt like this book might have toyed with your emotions just a little bit, but it was okay because it was actually enjoyable. The themes of happiness, sadness, love, and faith really do come to show with the fate of these characters. I would recommend this to anyone 13 or older, but there are some mature scenes.

What can I say about Allie and Noah? They have the romance that every couple wants. They endure separation, other partners, fights, rejection by parents.. everything imaginable. Yet, they remain in love.

Everyone should read this. It's amazing. Of course, Nicholas Sparks wrote it. This man is a literary genius!

I hated the movie, but we all know that the movie is ALWAYS worse then the book. I know that from experience. So i took the book from my mom's friend and read it.

This was such a horrible book, it has put me off on all of his books forever. This was so stupid, i didn't beleive anything in the book was really happening.

And I usually beleive everything!

This is one of my favorite books! It made me cry for a long time. It tells the story of two people, Noah and Allie, who reunite after 14 years. They fell i love when they were teens and they fall i love all over again. This story is very very good. It is a romance story with a lot of compassion and it shows how much some people can love one another.

I'm Speechless. This book...WOW! Noah and Allie are the best couple. When they were young teenagers, I can remember Noah hanging off a ferris wheel daring her to go out with him, all the way till Allie dies at old 70 in the retirement home.
(NOW THAT SERIOUSLY MADE ME CRY.)

More than 4 pages of unforgettable quotes by New York times, Williamsburg Weelky, this book made me laugh out loud. It made me cry FOR REAL! After watching the movie, I was obsessed with it. All the music videos cover my youtube profile. I memorized almost every quote they said.

This is an unforgettably, beautifully written novel, like I read in another review, "If I had enough money, I would buy everyone in the world a copy of The Notebook." It grabs you into the book, as you're walking down the street in the 50's hearing old jazz music! Get your hankerchiffs ready, this is a good one!

Allie Hamilton taught me the meaning the life. What path you should take, what love really is. Which path will you choose? Will you take the path of "The Notebook" Sparks written from the core of his heart? Why is my review so long?

YOU TELL ME.

In 1932, two North Carolina teenagers from opposite sides of the tracks fall in love. Spending one idyllic summer together in the small town of New Bern, Noah Calhoun and Allie Nelson do not meet again for 14 years. Noah has returned from WWII to restore the house of his dreams, having inherited a large sum of money. Allie, programmed by family and the "caste system of the South" to marry an ambitious, prosperous man, has become engaged to powerful attorney Lon Hammond. When she reads a newspaper story about Noah's restoration project, she shows up on his porch step, re-entering his life for two days. Will Allie leave Lon for Noah? This is one of the most unforgettable love story ever.

After reading A Walk To Remember I just had to read this. This is apparently one of his top novels. Let me just say that so far it is. But It was tough, The Notebook is one of my favorite movies and the book was really different. The movie added a ton of other parts to it so I didn't really expect on how different it was. But either way the book was great. I cried and smiled, this book was exceptionaly fabulous!

The Notebook is the best love story ever written.

Nicholas Sparks outdid himself with this book. Its heart-wrenching and heart-warming all at the same time. Its about two young people who fall in love during one summer, Allie and Noah. They are torn apart at the end of the summer and never speak again, until about 10 years later or more Allie finds Noah because she wants to see him before she gets married, and they fall in love all over again.
