READ TANGERINE!!!!!!
Tangerine was a book that told a story well, relating to kids in my class age. I could relate to it while also not being able to put the book down. I thought it was interesting and at some points very edgy. You didnt know what was going to happen next and I thought it was excellent. I like how when Paul's friends died, it changed the actions of the characters slowly and suddenly. There wasn't anything that I didn't enjoy abou this book! Well told.
This novel is about a boy who is not like everyone else. He has mentle issues but he is really good at soccer. Then one day a mudslide occured and half there school was gone. So he went to the rival school to play soccer. He ended up being the small, non-starter kid. Then the end of they year he starts and starts to really improve on his game. There is also a big surprise at the end.
This book is one of my favorite books. It teaches you that you need to value your time and stand up for yourself. I have no negative things to say. This novel is kind of like the book "Stringer." I would recommnd this novel to teens. I absolutly love Edward and all of his boks too.
Tangerine is one of my favorite books. Tangerine county, Florida is nothing what it seems. The Main Character is a boy who has a strange problem. Everyone tells him he has a seeing problem even though he claims he can see fine. He knows his parents are hiding something from him. His brother has a football scholarship and is immediatly deemed popular, while the main character just wants to play soccer and meet some new friends. This books is a great mystery.
Is the greatest book I ever read! I loved it! The feeling, the emotion, it's great!
Paul, the character that he represents is so magical and the best of all that is a fiction book.
Paul Fisher and his family are big fish who have just moved to the small fish community of Tangerine, Florida. Paul's older brother, Erik, is a football star, a placekicker who can nail field goals from fifty yards. Their father is an engineer who quickly takes over the County Commissioner's office. Mom is immediately a force to be reckoned with in the Homeowner's Association. Even Paul, who is forced to wear special glasses after a mysterious accident, is an excellent soccer player on his middle school team. But all is not as it seems in Tangerine, or with the Fisher family itself.
Tangerine is an excellent novel about family secrets, community loyalties and the cost of doing the right thing. This novel is full of the unexpected, but it is never less than one-hundred percent realistic. Record-breaking sinkholes, underground fires and regular lightning strikes are just the beginning of the challenges faced by Paul in Tangerine, although perhaps the greatest challenge is in his own backyard.
Tangerine is a good book, most people cannot fully relate to the things that the main characters do but you can make connections. The book has to do with a kid named Paul who has always been afraid of his older brother Erik. When Paul and his family move to Tangerine, Florida Erik and Paul have confrentations for the first time in awhile. Paul is growing up, hanging with the tough guys and he's slowly learning to stick up for himself. Erik isn't the nicest guy around, paul and his family always new that. Paul has a mysterious eye injury that his parents never talk about. They told paul it's from staring at a solar eclipse when he was young. In the book Paul thinks alot about it and starts to wonder if he can trust his parents decisions and explanations.
