Very very intense as always! Loved it =)
Good Points
Wow everyone loves Ellen Hopkins books because they’re in verse. Which means quick and easy, but do you want to know why I love them? Because there always extremely intense and those are my favorite books to read. So intense that you have to keep turning pages, like if you stop you’ll miss the story too much that’s what these books are too me! I bought this book on my own and am choosing to review it on my own also. In this book we catch up with our main character Kristina, who has recently had a baby and is clean. But not for long.. She can feel the monster calling to her she wants to get high again.

Through out the book I went back and forth between feeling sorry for Kristina and thinking that she’s a complete and utter idiot. In the end though I knew what my feelings were and they will stay that way until I read the third and final book! As we all know Kristina is a teen mother addicted to meth. The reasons I felt sorry for her is because she needed help and she just couldn’t get it. Yes her mother offered to help her but she didn’t do a good enough job of offering it. She told her if you need help I’ll give it to you but then she kicked her out. I mean I get it she shouldn’t need more then that but she’s a young mother addicted to drugs she needed more then that.

On the other hand I know she was so stupid. I mean she was clean she should have kept her job at seven eleven and stayed clean so she could be a mom to her baby and finish high school. But did she do that? Nope she went ahead and got back on drugs. For awhile she at least got to stay at home but her mom saw how bad she was getting and finally kicked her out. Now that should have gotten to her too but instead she went and stayed with her drug dealer who was also her boyfriends cousin and basically sort of whored around!

Anyways I hope that in this third book Kristina cleans herself up and takes care of her BABY! Oh I so wish I could spoil the ending of this book but I can’t so if anyone’s read this book come talk to me! I enjoyed some of the other characters like Kristina’s alter ego Bree. My favorite part was when she was mouthing off to her sisters girlfriend oh man it was hilarious. Also I really liked Trey because although he was a drug addict as well as her he was still in school for the majority of time and he truly loved Kristina and I loved that. In the beginning I thought he was going to be another Brendan if you know what I mean but he wasn’t and I’m so glad.

In the end I give it a 5 out of 5 stars because again I love how intense Ellen keeps her books. I could not stop turning these pages until I physically couldn’t anymore!

I found that reading this book made me realize that their are more people out there who understand the things us teens go through. It has made me realize that we are not alone during these tough times, and we shouldn't take the people who care about us for granted! They are all here to help us and we need to realize that. We are not alone, and we should talk to people because they can give us a whole new beggining, and meaning to our life. I'm thanking Ellen Hopkins for writting such mooving and touching poems for this book! She's a fantastic writer!

Kristina is back, and right when she thinks her life is coming together, the monster comes a' calling, bringing Bree back into its clutches once more.

A fantastic sequel to Crank! You once again see the hold meth can have on a person, and the bad things that come from it. Ellen Hopkins writes astonishing books, and I think they're a must read for anyone.

Glass is the sequel to the book Crank. It is the disturbing story of Kristina Snow, a high school student, who gets involved in the dangerous world of meth. Her story is scary and makes the reader feel like yelling at the characters in the book. Her behavior is so self-destructive, yet she can not grasp the danger at hand. In Crank is introduced to meth and finds ways in which to fulfill her addiction. By the end of the book she is totally addicted and gives birth to a baby boy. In Glass she can not cope with her addiction, pressures to finish school and get her GED, and caring for an infant. She abandons everything that is important to her for drugs. Glass takes you on a ride like you were never on before into the dangerous world of meth use. Well done, yet leaves you wanting more.

In the second novel in verse from Ellen Hopkins detailing Kristina's addiction to crystal meth, the story continues with deeper consequences and darker events. It quickly shows how bad the spiral of addiction happens, and just how hard that anyone can get sucked into it. Kristina was the normal girl, the perfect child, the role model, but one test of drugs ruined that, and her life has only gotten worse since.

A novel for all teens to read, "Glass" is something that will keep teenagers aware of the effects that drugs can have upon the body as they watch the bad choices that Kristina makes while under the influence of drugs. This novel truly shows that no one is immune to the drugs pull.

DUDE!!! If you liked reading CRANK, you should most deffinitely read this book. It's like the sequal to CRANK. I'm not gonna lie, it doesnt include Adam a whole lot so thats a bummer but, its still about Kristina and Bree so its pretty damn good.

P.S. Read this!!!!

The sequel to Ellen Hopkin's Crank, Glass picks up a year later in Kristina's life: baby, a 7-11 job, and living at home. Depressed by the weight she put on while pregnant, she gets back on meth, telling herself that she can "control her urges." She spirals out of control again, steals from her mother, gets pregnant again, and eventually loses her first son to the custody of her parents. Glass enlightens even the pickiest of readers.
