What I liked:
Girl Forgotten centers around a high school student who must complete a passion project for her senior year project. Piper is a fan of the true-crime podcast dead, deadlier, deadest and, while walking through the local cemetery, comes across a cold case nearly 20 years old. Piper must figure out how to create a podcast, who to include on it, and overall solve the murder.
Final Verdict:
April Henry creates a creative story centered around a murder mystery with the twist of it being solved through a podcast. I found this a unique way to tell a murder mystery, and it kept me guessing how she would solve the murder. The author did her research, which shows as you read the story. If you're looking for a different take on the murder mystery genre, pick up Girl Forgotten by April Henry.
