If you loved the movie a walk to remember, then you will also love the book! It is about a boy named landon carter telling about when he fell in love with a girl in high school named jamie sullivan, who is the preacher's daughter. He doesn't find out till later that she has leukemia. It is different from the movie but just as good! It is one of the few books that made me cry, and it is by the great romance author, nicholas sparks!

Awww. Nicholas Sparks is such a good author.

Ok, so this is the story of the rebel (turned good) and the minister's daughter falling in love and getting married and all that fun stuff. But part way through the book, you find out that she has cancer, and now he has to learn to deal with it, and get on with life without her. It really is the sweetest story. Nearly made me break out in tears in the middle of class.

Because this was a popular movie a few years ago, there is no need to enter into the plot. Basically, a shy girl and a popular boy begin to work together to create an everlasting love.

For the most part, this book was sweet and romantic. Yet, at other parts, I was bored, and felt like I knew where it was going. Still, Sparks manages to capture the two characters very well, and depicts a love that spans over time.

The movie didn't make me cry, but the book did! I guess maybe because it's told in first person view, so the story becomes more real. The emotion is there, I could feel Landon's devastation when he learnt Jmaie's dying.

Nicholas Sparks uses simple words/sentences, making the story sweet=)

The book was way better than the movie, it wasn't the same. Although they got great actors to play the role, it wasn't the same, of course they took out most of my favourite parts, which I really didn't like! But you really should read this book, it only took me two days, which is crazy for me!

If you've seen the movie A Walk to Remember and liked it, you'll absolutely LOVE the book by Nicholas Sparks! Its amazing. I could not put it down. Definitly a book to own, you'll want to read it over and over.

Jamie is the daughter of the town's pastor. Her mom died during childbirth. She lives with her dad. Jamie is a really sweet, loving, Christian girl who doesn't care what others think of her. Landon is a popular guy. A rebel you could say. Not the type of couple you would expect. A very unlikely couple actually. But the unlikely is possible. This book shows that. It's also kind of saying not to judge people, because you never know how much they you could grow to love even the most unlikely person.

A Walk to Remember is and always will be my very favorite book. And I don't say that kind of thing lightly, trust me.

I have to confess, that I have the book at home on my shelf, but I would not recommend it to you. The story developes in too slowly, but instead the author added many tear-triggering passages. The height of corniness is reached at the end with a melodramatic finale. My main dislike, however, is that I read the book without at the end knowing why, because the end had been predictable from page 10 on. If in doubt, leave it out.

A definite tearjerker, this book has you sobbing uncontrolably as you read the unforgetable tale of Landon and Jamie's love. The highlight of the story is how Landon matures and becomes an aspiring young man who realizes the depth of everything. The movie, even though it was very good, would never compare. A quick read that stays in your heart for a lifetime. Don't skip this one.
