this book was amazong and the movie was too.the fact that a popular guy like the guy in the book fell for the preachers daughter is so funny.usually i would expcet the preachers guy falling for the popular guy.so anyway the guy and girl in this book fall in love like romeo and juliet.but the preacher doesn't want his daughter dating the popular player guy.just like kind of romeo and juliets parents and family.they ignore everything and enjoy fallling for each other.but then the popluar girl gets jealous and does something bad and blames it on the popluar guy and then the two lovebirds get into a big problem....

Yet again, Nicholas Sparks has outdone himself. This book simply captivated me. Everything from the characters, to the plot, to the setting.. wow. The story of a strong willed girl and an equally strong willed boy falling in love as she battles a deadly disease sounds horrid, but in reality this novel was the best I'd read in years. Not to mention, the tear-jerker ending and the reasoning behind the title. Oh, I highly recommend the novel to everyone.

Nicholas Sparks' A Walk to Remember is not the typical high school romance novel.  Following the story of goody-goody pastor's daughter Jamie Sullivan and bad boy Landon Carter, their relationship challenges the social code of their high school then and of teenagers today.  Complications such as Jamie's cancer and Landon's relationship with his father, Sparks weaves a novel that addresses loss and connection in human relationships.  Although I found this novel easy to read, it is not easy to forget.

Landon Carter is a senators son.  He has money, he has the look and the popularity.  One thing that he doesn't have is Jamie Sullivan, The preachers daughter.  Jamie is the girl that everybody makes fun of.  She puts everybody before herself.  After Landon does the school play with her he falls in love.  Before the play she made him promise not to fall in love with her.  Obviously he didn't keep that promise.  He fell in love with her not knowing why she wouldn't let him in the first place.  As the author said that first you will smile and then you will cry.

This book is one of my favorite book that I have ever read.  It's a very sad yet happy book.  I loved this book because it tells a unique story about love and saddness.  This book is alot like the Notebook but also very different.  I would recommend this book to any teenage girl.  Girls would understand this book better than guys.
