Hi, YABCers!

Today we’re super excited to celebrate the new cover reveal for ONE WAS LOST by Natalie D. Richards, releasing October 4, 2016 from Sourcebooks. Before we get to the cover, here’s a note from Natalie:

Hey, ONE WAS LOST readers—it’s cover reveal time!! AHHHHH!

I’ve got a little dreams-really-do-come-true tale for you. Ahem. So, if you one day decide you want to write something, and then decide that your first literary venture will be a creepy book about four kids who wake up in a forest with words marked on their arms and someone hunting them in the woods…well, then you might have actually written ONE WAS LOST, so we should chat. BUT if you write some other book with horror in the trees, then you, too, might end up with a completely awesome, scary cover like this! BECAUSE HOLY CRAP, RIGHT?!

I love this cover. I mean, authors always say they love their covers, but I am basically a heart-eye emoji sliding down a rainbow every single time I glance at this bad boy. I’m insanely grateful to the Sourcebooks art team for their genius and vision, and I’m also crazy excited to be sharing a peek at ONE WAS LOST with you today!

ONE WAS LOST

Release date: October 4, 2016
Publisher: Sourcebooks

About the Book

For fans of In a Dark, Dark Wood and Survive the Night comes a pulse-pounding, psychological thriller. Damaged, Deceptive, Dangerous, Darling. When a group of teens wake up in the woods, these words are inked onto their skin. Are they labels? A warning? They must find the truth before a killer finds them.

While on a mandatory senior field trip, a flash flood cuts off Sera and three classmates from their group with no way to call for help. But they’re not as alone as they thought…

Someone is stalking them through the woods. Someone who drugged them, stole their supplies, and wrote on their skin. Is it a judgement? A warning? If Sera doesn’t uncover the truth, it’s only a matter of time before the hunter finds her.
