Fans of Riordan will find lots of familiar faces from the Magnus Chase series in this clever collection of short reads. With his signature humor and melting pot of humans, gods and creatures, readers new and old will laugh out loud at the hilarious antics of Thor and friends as he races through the nine worlds.
Although there is plenty of charm and humor, most of the stories feel rushed and a bit like an afterthought, which might be underwhelming for readers expecting more substance.
The full color illustrations are the best thing about this little book, making the purchase worthwhile for series fans. The lively illustrations help bring these beloved characters and places to life.
For those mythology fans looking for a quick laugh, Riordan’s Nine Worlds is sure to please.
