Review for the Awakening:
This was actually an alright vampire romance book. I didn't expect to like it in the beginning because I immediately saw references to Twilight. I like my book original and unique. However, I did realize that these books were published years ago, wayy before Twilight. That helped soften the blow. Personally I didn't really like most of the characters except for Damon but I do suppose after reading the second installment, that will change. (At least that's what my friend said who recommended it to me.) I do think there is a good story and I'd like to see where it goes.

Review for The Struggle:
This book was just as good as its predecessor, not like its predecessor was fantastic& but as vampire romances go, its decent. I love L. J. Smiths writing, and thats exactly what makes me pick these books up. Shes creative when it comes down to her writing style and her characters. Id also like to point out that Vampire Diaries were first published in 1991 but are recently out again as reprint. These books came out way before this vampire YA fayz. This series isnt a favorite of mine but are a good read for the vampirists and romantics out there.

Vampire Diaries is one of my favorite book series. I love Stefan, and I think Elena is great.
I love the way LJane Smith writes, because you feel like if you were there, next to Elena, Bonnie and Meredith, you can know what they think, you cand know how they feel.
The books are easy to read, and will keep you readind and reading until you finish them all.
I also liked a lot the Damon part, he is just irresistible, even when he is the bad guy...
I just love those brothers... all the drama between them, all the mystery
surrounding Stefan and Damon. You have to read them...
