WINTER WONDERLAND is a cute early reader about Christmas and snow. Ty is so excited to find that it is snowing outside, and he is thrilled to go play. As he and his mother walk, they notice all the fun things of the season, such as polar bears and The Nutcracker dancers. Ty dreams of seeing Santa and hopes for it while they enjoy the snow. At the end, Ty gets to see Santa!

What I loved: This is a cute early reader that celebrates winter and Christmas with Ty. His excitement is contagious as he compares the snow to his globe and finds all sorts of exciting things on the walk with his mother. The story encourages children to dream big, as Ty wishes for Santa and gets to see him at the end.

The large, clear font helps readers with early word recognition and makes it easier for caregivers to read aloud. Colorful illustrations keep readers engaged.

What left me wanting more: As a small thing, there is a lot that children will need explained in the story, as the text is very simple. Fans of the series will probably understand it better than those that are new to it.

Final verdict: WINTER WONDERLAND is a charming early reader that celebrates Christmas and all the joy of new snow. This will work well for preschoolers to share with their caregivers.
