The Secret of the Legendary Tribe is a middle grade adventure novel set in and around present-day Washington, D.C. It tells the story of three friends and siblings—Marci Gonzales and Kay and Archie Mahood—who are each disabled in different ways and band together when Marci’s older brother, Hector, is hospitalized. When the doctors don’t know how to save Hector, these eleven and twelve-year-olds take matters into their own hands and set out to find a lost spearhead rumored to have healing powers that belonged to a chief of the Patawomeck tribe of Virginia, to which Kay and Archie belong.
To support these characters’ communities, half of all author's proceeds from book sales will be donated to the Patawomeck and to the Miracle League of Alexandria, Virginia.
