the new characters, the plot twist, and everything else accounts for this being one of the best books in a while. even better than i am number four, this book revels more about loren and the other numbers still out their along with another one that isn't like the others.

The Power of Six, a amazing sequel to the stunning I Am Number Four, which is very difficult to explain the wonderful story in words. This book is not just about Four any more, also written in the view point of Marina (Number Seven). She lives in a convent with an orphanage for girls, in Spain. Her Cepan is trying to forget all about Lorien and has become a nun. Marina is alone. But then she reads about John Smith, who is believed to be a terrorist. She feels that John is a member of the Garde like herself and she feels the need to communicate with him.

John Smith (Number Four), has escaped the clutches of the enemy and has become a wanted criminal with a price on his head. He has teamed up with Six and his friend from Paradise, Sam. They are to train themselves, find Six's chest and locate all the other numbers before the enemies realises that the charm has been broken.

This book has a fast-paced plot that will keep you in it's hands until you have finished it. I cannot wait for The Rise of Nine when it is released in August. The characters were brilliant especially Marina, I liked her spirit. Six was okay and Sam was great, John didn't appeal to me as much as before but still was pretty good. I definitely recommend it to the people who enjoyed and loved I Am Number Four.

The long-awaited sequel to "I Am Number Four" combines the continuation of Number Four's story as he goes on the run with geeky Sam Goode and smoking hot action girl Number Six, with the story of another Lorien teen, Marina (Number Seven, whose human name is a subtle clue to one of her Legacies), her reluctant Cepan Adelina, and a seemingly fragile little girl called Ella as they hide out in a Spanish Catholic convent/girls' school.

By swapping narration between Four (I don't know why but I can't bring myself to call him by his human name; same with any of the other numbers especially Six, whose rather silly human name is revealed in this novel) and Seven, the novel seems to throw down a cliffhanger every minute, which I admit is not most people's cup of Chai but to me is perfect because it makes the action seem much more urgent and fast paced.

Of course, the novel ends with a cliffhanger and also the revelation of another Lorien teen (plus another special twist which I will not dare to reveal.)

Just one problem - when Four and Sam return to Paradise against Six's wishes, they meet up with Sarah who tells them that she's been alienated since the events of the last novel, and also turns them in to the authorities...WHY?!?!?!?

Ah well. Six makes a better girlfriend for Four anyway, she's less of a weakling and clearly eternally more loyal. At least Four's reluctant crush on Six proves that Henri was wrong about Loriens loving one person, forever - in retrospect, that part was too good to be true.

So when does the movie come out?
Good Points
-Introduction of new characters
-Split focus between Four/Six/Sam story and Marina/Adelina/Ella story
-Raging action throughout

This was very good, I like both this one and "I am Number Four" about the same amount. The lost files is too short to bother counting there, but FYI it's pretty good. This ends on somewhat of a cliff-hanger, so that's annoying, but... This is a REALLY good idea for a series. One of my favorites now. I just wish I didn't read so dang fast! That and being a picky reader don't mix, trust me. I hope the next book is out before next August, it's difficult to wait. Here are my favorite parts:

******SPOILER ALERT******

SKIP TO LAST PARAGRAPH IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK YET!!!!

Scene where John Six and Sam get pulled over by the cop, and they run into the woods

Jail scene

The scene at the mog compound.

******SPOILER ALERT****** ENDS HERE

Bottom line: great book, obviously read the first if you haven't. Definitely recommend the series.
