The Egg Incident is reminiscent of the nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty. Humphrey is an egg who lives with his overprotective parents and their many rules to keep him safe. When Humphrey meets Princess Jean (PJ for short) he learns to break out of his shell (pun intended) and enjoy the adventure of life.

It may be a short graphic novel, but this 72-page book packs a punch. Daisy Wynter's illustrations are the highlight of the book. Throughout the story, she captures the character's personality so well.

Even though Humphrey and PJ are opposites, their friendship works well. The transformation of Nervous Humphrey to an adventurous Humphrey is a result of PJ pushing Humphrey out of his comfort zone.

The Egg Incident is a fun graphic novel that flips the Humpty Dumpty story on its head providing an entertaining story.
