A little girl is convinced that her dog worries, just like her. With a whole day ahead of them, she'll need to figure out how to soothe them both. She prepares snacks, first aid, and even a sword in case there are any monsters. But when nothing works to ease their worries, she’ll need to get creative.

The Big Worry Day is a wonderful children's book about conquering one's fears.
The characters, a little girl and her dog named Bea, are relatable ; they both have fears they need to overcome in order to have adventures. We get to follow along as they find ways to comfort one another and gather the courage to go outside to play. Children, and adults alike, can replicate the things this duo practice to help themselves overcome their own anxieties.

I felt that the writing didn't flow as nicely as it could have, some of the wording just felt a bit clunky. That being said, it was still easy to read aloud and for my children to follow along with.

The illustrations are adorable! There is just enough to highlight the characters' feelings without taking away from the story itself.
