This book was just like all those other books aimed at teens nowadays. Shallow, self-absorbed people looking for love and finding it in all the wrong places. This book is no different. The pop craze of the nineties is long gone and it's time to try something new. All of these books are the same and they're all boring.

Jenny Greenley, nice girl-next-door and secret advice columnist, is assigned to guide Luke Striker, a teen heartthrob going undercover at her high school. He ends up teaching her a lot about herself and helps her to change her school too.
I really enjoyed this story. Luke was not a stereotypical snobby star, and Jennys character was dynamic and engaging, and the various other characters were interesting too. The plot was predictable, but with at least one surprising twist. The romance at the end was a little too Harlequin but I still liked the ending. If you like Meg Cabots other novels, youll enjoy this new one.

I am a big meg cabot fan. Infact most of my reviews are for her books. They are always very funny, creative, far fetched(my faverite to be quite frank)and all of her books are so...i dont know, adicting! With this book I was so surprised at how it wasnt as good as the others. Not that it was bad or anything but i much rather read one of her mediator books. It was a little dull.
It was about this girl Jenny Greenly who is really nice and an anonoumous advice columnist for her school. Since every teacher just absolutly loves her the make her be the guide of this celebrity dude for a couple of weeks while he is researching a role. The sucky part is she doesnt fall in love with the hot guy(she falls in love with this other o.k dude.)
The book didnt completely boar me. it wasnt that bad...just not Meg Cabots best!

I'm a great Meg Cabot fan, but this book just didnt live up to my expectations.
The story, though interesting, was not really one that I truly enjoyed. I didnt really like the climax where the main charactor, Jenny, didn't ended up getting together with the 'hottie'. It might be a personal hing, but I kind of enjoy books where the main charactor gets together with THE GUY more than books where they don't.
An OK read if you dont have any other book to read

In my opinion, Teen Idol was a great book because it dealt with almost real teen issues. Although things like this never happen to real people, Jennie Greenly's ordeal was captured with a realistic twist. THe ending was like icing on the cake.

I thought this book was amazingly written. Meg Cabot has done it again with this book. This book is about shy little Jenny Greenly-who is the annonyomous advice columnist for her school paper-getting a wake up call to what she can do to save her school from going down because of the "populars". She also finds love and meets a totally hot actor! I loved this book and I give it 5 stars!

Teen Idol is about a girl named Jenny who is the girl next door. She's everybody's friend and gets along with everybody. So that's why she is the chosen for the position of the anonymous advice column for the the school paper. She helps people solve their problems. She thinks she's helping people. But when celebrity Luke Striker comes to research a role for one of his movies, he shows Jen that she can make a bigger difference with her power of being friends with everybody. She can help the really unpopular and miserable people. But Jen is afraid of what everyone else will say. Now's she's not sure if she gives the best advice. And she doesn't know what advice to give herself when it comes to her love life.
This was a really interesting book about a girl named Jenny. Though the part about the celebrity is a little far-out, it adds an interesting twist to the story. The story has a nice ending and is satisfying.

Meg Cabot works her magic again with another fantastic book. Cabot puts another girl-next-door in some unordinary events. Jenny Greenly is the ordinary girl in this tale who is put in some unordinary circumstances.
When Luke Striker, a hollywood heart throb, visits Jenny's school her world is turned upside down. Stiker asks Jenny to work her magic with in the school for the greater good. What will happen with these two, what will Jenny do?
You'll just have to read and find out. Great book, I reccomend it.
