Jenny Greenley is good at solving problems. That's why she's the school's advice columnist. She's also good at keeping secrets that's why she's in on one. When the famous actor Luke Striker decides to study for a new role at her school, Jenny has to keep it a secret. Being the nice person Jenny is she tries to help Luke parents together. Eventually though all good things come to an end when Luke's identity is revealed.

This book was very different. I liked the concept though. It was fun reading about Jenny trying to help Luke fit in. I reccomend this book to anyone who likes some girly action.

Have i said how much i love Meg Cabot? Well i do! this book just submits her role as the best teen writer. Some might say her stories are cliche (and they are) but she does it with style. Hot guys, movie stars, and true love. This has all been seen before but Meg Cabot does it like no author has before. This book is fun light fluff, but great fluff and anyone on matter what age will love it.

Meg Cabot makes another masterpiece with Teen Idol. I've always dreamt of having a major teen hearthrob going undercover in my school. This dream comes true for Jenny, when she guides Luke Striker, a famous hearthrob, around the school. This book also contains girl power, how Jenny can finally speak up for herself. A major read for anyone thats looking for one.

Even better than THE PRINCESS DIARIES, TEEN IDOL is the story about a girl-next-door learning to use her "lovable"-ness to change the world. (Okay, not the world. But at least the people at her high school.)

Nice girl Jenny Greenley has a secret position on the school newspaper: she's Ask Annie, the unofficial school psychologist, who gives advice to anyone who writes in. Only the school administrators and Scott Bennett, her friend and editor-in-chief, know about it. She's good at keeping secrets and not making a big deal out of things; that's why she's chosen to be the "student guide" of Luke Striker, a famous teen actor who's going undercover at Jenny's high school in order to find out what normal high school is like.

Through circumstances entirely not her fault, Luke's real identity is exposed, and he jets it back to Hollywood--and safety. Before he goes, however, he gives Jenny and unofficial challenge: everybody likes her, why not use her power to inflict social change at her high school?

Doubtful, Jenny nevertheless tries to speak up more. The results are incredible. She gets her best friend mad, helps turn a class laughingstock's life around, and stands up for herself for the first time. The only problem is that with her newfound courage, she realizes she might be falling in love with... Scott.

As with all of Meg Cabot's books, TEEN IDOL, has romance, humor, a bit of ridiculous, and a happy ending. Jenny is a likeable protagonist, while Scott is a sweetheart. Fans of her other books will by no means be disappointed by this bildungsroman.

This novel by Meg Cabot is unlike her Mediator series and princess tales. Those who have read Meg Cabot's All American Girl will find comfort in its fimiliarity. The plots different but the voice is practically the same. In this novel highschool student Jessica Dearly is every's confidant. She is the "mayonaisee" that holds everyone together but he she is assigned to guide young, famous and cute actor Luke Striker while he reaseaches the southern highschool atmosphere for his next upcoming film, Jessica with the help of Luke discovers that being the "mayonaise" isn't good enough. You have to inflict change and want things to change not just sit by and try to mend the brocken pieaces. I personally enjoyed this book better than ALl AMerican Girl don't be decieved by the cover this book was better than I expected! :)

In my opinion, Teen Idol was a great book because it dealt with almost real teen issues. Although things like this never happen to real people, Jennie Greenly's ordeal was captured with a realistic twist. THe ending was like icing on the cake.

Meg Cabot works her magic again with another fantastic book. Cabot puts another girl-next-door in some unordinary events. Jenny Greenly is the ordinary girl in this tale who is put in some unordinary circumstances.
When Luke Striker, a hollywood heart throb, visits Jenny's school her world is turned upside down. Stiker asks Jenny to work her magic with in the school for the greater good. What will happen with these two, what will Jenny do?
You'll just have to read and find out. Great book, I reccomend it.

Teen Idol by Meg Cabot was a fairly predictable book. It was about a junior, Jenny Greenley, who was friends with just about everyone in her school. She was on the school's newspaper. She also knew how to solve, just about everyone's problems. When she was called to the guidance counselor's office, she was given a special task. The next day, she met Luke Striker, new teen heart-throb. She learned a few things about Luke and about herself. Meg Cabot had some every day issues teens have now, and that is what I liked about her books. She knew exactly what some problems teens were going through, and I could relate to them. In this book, I related a lot with Jenny, but some of the problems were dragged on a little too much, and some solutions were rushed. During part of the book, I was bored and had the urge to skip the pages. All-in-all, the book was fairly good, just not one of her best books that I've read.
