Meg Cabot is one of my favorite young adult authors! She is really a writing superhero, she has written books for adults, young adults and middle grade readers.
Teen Idol is about Jenny Greenly a high school junior who writes the advice column "Ask Annie" for her school newspaper. Everybody likes Jenny, she is nice and always comforts people. That is why the school district decided to have Jenny guide the new student, "Lucas Smith". The only thing is that his real name, is Luke Striker and just about every girl except for Jenny is in love with him because, he is just about one of the most popular teen celebrities. He decided to come to Jenny's town and experience high school, so he can do some research for his next film. Now it is Jenny's job to keep Luke's secret and show him the ropes of a normal high school, on top of her already crazy life.
I loved this book, I really did. Although it is extremely hard not to love a book written by Meg Cabot! One of my favorite parts of the book was the way that Jenny tried her hardest not to fall for Luke and keep the secret from her Luke obsessed best friend Trina. At some points in this book, I found myself laughing out loud! This book is an extremely fun enjoyable read!

Teen Idol is one of Meg Cabot's best works. Her character seems more realistic and believable than her Princess Diaries main character, Mia. Mis always seemed like a teenage stereotype to me and in a way it made the author seem as though she was gently poking fun at her readers. However this character seems well-rounded and realistic.
The storyline is intriguing and while it's obvious who the main character will end up with, the fun part is trying to figure out who the "Teen Idol" will wind up dating. It's a fun read that I recommend to readers of the Princess Diary series.

Worthy of the title of "Idol"

Teen Idol was one of many great books from Meg Cabot. My favorite part was when you find out Luke liked Scott's ex. It was much better then the Princess Diaries series. In fact, I liked it sooo much that I must of re-read it a dozen times!

Teen Idol by Meg Cabot was a fairly predictable book. It was about a junior, Jenny Greenley, who was friends with just about everyone in her school. She was on the school's newspaper. She also knew how to solve, just about everyone's problems. When she was called to the guidance counselor's office, she was given a special task. The next day, she met Luke Striker, new teen heart-throb. She learned a few things about Luke and about herself. Meg Cabot had some every day issues teens have now, and that is what I liked about her books. She knew exactly what some problems teens were going through, and I could relate to them. In this book, I related a lot with Jenny, but some of the problems were dragged on a little too much, and some solutions were rushed. During part of the book, I was bored and had the urge to skip the pages. All-in-all, the book was fairly good, just not one of her best books that I've read.

Meg Cabot works her magic again with another fantastic book. Cabot puts another girl-next-door in some unordinary events. Jenny Greenly is the ordinary girl in this tale who is put in some unordinary circumstances.
When Luke Striker, a hollywood heart throb, visits Jenny's school her world is turned upside down. Stiker asks Jenny to work her magic with in the school for the greater good. What will happen with these two, what will Jenny do?
You'll just have to read and find out. Great book, I reccomend it.

In my opinion, Teen Idol was a great book because it dealt with almost real teen issues. Although things like this never happen to real people, Jennie Greenly's ordeal was captured with a realistic twist. THe ending was like icing on the cake.
