You’re told that
This won’t work,
But how will you know
If you never try?

Presidential inaugural poet and #1 New York Times bestselling author Amanda Gorman and Caldecott Honor and Coretta Scott King Honor winner Christian Robinson have created a timeless message of hope.

Sometimes the world feels broken. And problems seem too big to fix. But somehow, we all have the power to make a difference. With a little faith, and maybe the help of a friend, together we can find beauty and create change.

With intimate and inspiring text and powerfully stunning illustrations, Something, Someday reveals how even the smallest gesture can have a lasting impact.

Something, Someday, is a call to action that little deeds can grow into big accomplishments. A child sees trash and no one moves to clean it up. He knows he can help and that it will look better once he does. From there he starts a garden with his friends. The part of the book that says the day of dreaming turns into the day he is living is a particularly poignant statement. There are a lot of huge complex problems in the world but this book helps remind readers that we can make a difference one small act at a time. Overall, this book elegantly unfolds a huge idea for making a positive impact in the world we all live in. This book is a great inspirational read that would work well with units on community, advocacy, volunteering, and environmental education.
