I really enjoyed the book No Talking by Andrew Clements. I think we all could learn an important lesson from this book, like sometimes there is no point in making silly bets. Sometimes that can be somewhat helpful, like the teacher of the fifth grade boys and girls took the no talking as an advantage and was able to get her work done. But other times this can get you into trouble, like the other fifth grade teachers did not like the quiet situation and neither did the principle. I think that this book is a really fun way to express what every fifth grader thinks. The author really made me feel like I was back in my fifth grade classroom because everyone would argue over similar silly things and we would make so much noise that the other classrooms would complain that we were so loud.

This book deserves a four star rating because it is a relatable book to me. But the bickering between Dave and Lynsey was a little too much drama for me. This book also deserved a five star rating on the illustrations because they are really good. I also liked how there wasn't too much detail in the drawings and that it was easy to tell what the pictures were.

No talking is about a fifth grade boy who starts a no talking contest. In the contest its boys agaist girls. They can only say three words at a time.    I liked it because they learn they can be quiet. They learn it can be easy to think when not talking.          You should read this book if you like nonfiction books. This is a really good book you have to read it.

The book no talking is about Dave and Lynsey start a no talking contest. It was boys vs. girls. before this they were called the unshushables. Now that there quiet Mrs. Hiett the Princapal wants them to talk. the only reason she wants then to bequiet is because she has to be in control of everything in the school.

the book is funny because when everybody wanted the 5th graders to bequiet when they do they want them to start talking again . A weird thing about no talking is the boys and the girls hate each other at first  but later on they become freinds.

if you like humor books this would be great for you. If you like to talk this might put an idea in your head. It realy doesn't matter if your a boy or girl

"No talking!"Dave and Lynsey have never thought highly of each other. When Dave stops talking,he challenges Lynsey, and the rest of the fifth grade girls,to a no talking contest. She excepts the offer and they come up with the rules. Two days.Three word limit. No talking at home. Not at school.Nowhere.As the leaders, Dave and Lynsey decide to have their own little contest.Winner lables other loser. But there's one problem.Mrs.Hiatt,the principle. She does not like what's going on,Because,as the principle, everything has to go her way or not at all. Will Dave lable Lynsey loser? Will Lynsey lable Dave loser? Will they get away with the contest?

No Talking is a good book. It's hilarious! The author is always saying,"it's not time to talk about that",in a new way each time he uses it.This book shows that boys and girls can become good friends.Even by accident. It shows people to be truthful using the honor system. It's also intreging to see who will win.

If you like books with boy against girl contests or boy against girl comedy.Or kids showing adults sometimes they're right.Or teachers joining kids in agreement. You'll love and really enjoy this book.Have a great time reading!

My summary is that
the main charters are
Dave and Lindsey and
the rules for no talking
you can't talk only if a
teacher or a adult say
somthing to you first and
you only could say three
words or less and um cont's
as a word so listen carfly
when you read the book.
I like the book no talking
because it is realy challening
and very funny this is one of
the lines from the book
(rushing toward their seats,there
was always a teffic burst of yelling
and screaming and calling out and
wild chatter sort of like feeding time
at the zoo).I say 5th threw 6th will
like the book no talking because 6th
knows wat it is like to be in 5th grade.

Some teachers like what there doing and  some don't and for Mrs. Hiatt she hates it or does she .
I think that this book is alsome because , one what there doing makes me think I'm in the story , two Andrew Clemons is a really great author ,and three theres a lat of excitment .
The group of people who would like  it are people who are outgoing and this book is denefitly outgoing . People would like this book because it has alot of mischofte.

The teachers got mad at the students for not answering the question. This is how they answer in three word sentences. The word um counts as a word in the book.
The contest is about to see if  boys or girls are better. No talking is about how it can help you under stand words. The silly parts are when Lynsey stood up and said twenty seven words to tie it up.That is how they tie up the game. The funny part is when he coughs his history report.

no talking is a novel about not talking. no talking all started from one person in history, who? thats for you to figure out. this book is teacher troubles,no losers turned down, buddy book, and it teaches you that cooties don't exist.it is somewhat touching, yet serious.when boys and girls join forces once and for all.I loved no talking, but it's your opinion that counts. I would recommend this book to 3-7th grade reading level. It would be ideal for people who like comedy, battle,or school survival books.

Hello my name is Brenda and I came to tell you what no talking is about. First as you can see the unshushables won't shush, they just keep on talking and talking, After a few days Dave and Lynsey decide to have a contest to see if girls talk more than boys, and the group that talks more will ge a big fat L on their forehead. The next day they started the contest and the teachers didn't mind them having a no talking contest.Next, I really loved the book beacuase Dave and Lynsey are always arguring to themselfs. Also how would you prove that girls talk more than boys. Finally, I would recommend this book to children 9 and up because smaller ages would not know how to read.I also think children that like funny childrens books , would be more interested in them. sometimes i think that andrew clements is a great childrens books writter and everybody should enjoy his books alot.
