Review Detail

This lift-the-flap book had warm illustrations that were cheery. The child is searching for his brother and along the way, each family member is found engaged in a different aspect of worship in Islam. Every image was positive and age-appropriate for a baby-toddler-aged child. The lift-the-flap function is sure to engage the curious reader. I like that there is positive representation and would see it as beneficial in supporting the Islamic faith to those within the faith. It does not serve as an ambassador text where a non-Islamic person would know the vocabulary used but it does serve to increase curiosity for those outside the faith if they read it. Overall, I would recommend it for young children within the Islamic faith.
