Any book that begins with, "Let's do it! Hiii-yah!" is a winner in my opinion! This is book 4 in the Ninjago series and follows closely along with the T.V. show by the same name. The plot is a classic, good versus evil, and requires all four main characters to work together in order to be successful. It's broken up into separate sections that mimic chapters but because they're shorter, isn't likely to overwhelm a young or newbie reader.

You really can't go wrong with colorful pictures of LEGO figures defeating bad guys with their mad ninja skills. The fact that they also do everyday "kid" things like eat pizza and play video games makes the characters even more relateable.
