This fold-out book is just incredible. I am a huge fan of the paper, the layout, the descriptions, and the illustrations, and I know this book will give my kids and I lots to look at, admire, and discuss. The different modes of transportation are laid out in chronological order, beginning at the time of the industrial revolution as a starting point, and as you either turn the pages or open it up in its entirety, you can see boats, motorcycles, bicycles, cars, and aircraft undergo a metamorphosis as their designs took shape and developed to become more streamlined, more efficient, etc. I think that this would be a great gift idea for any boy or girl, but boys especially may find this book to be intriguing and may want to carry it around to open it up whenever they get the hankering. I know I would have done the same as a child. Highly recommended.
