Hi, YABCers!

Today we’re super excited to celebrate the cover reveals for RELENTLESS by Tera Lynn Childs and Tracy Deebs, releasing June 7, 2016, as well as the tradepaper cover for POWERLESS, from Sourcebooks Fire. Before we get to the covers, here’s a note from Tracy and Tera:

Tera Lynn Childs: Hi there YABC readers and Powerless fans!

For an author, there is nothing quite as exciting as getting a shiny new cover. It’s like Christmas and birthdays and graduation, all rolled into one. And the next best thing? Getting to share them with you! There are so many things to love about the Relentless cover and the new cover for the paperback edition of Powerless. First of all, hero and villain marks! Big and bold in silver and gold—perfect! The new Powerless cover totally reminds me of the movie poster for Underworld, which is one of my faves. How cool is that? Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate the yum that is Draven on the Relentless cover? Kenna is one lucky girl! Does anyone else get an Angel-circa-Buffy-season-one? Can’t go wrong with that. *fans self* I hope you love these covers! I can’t wait to see them on the shelves!!!

Tracy Deebs: Hi, Guys!  First off, I just want to say thank you to YABC for having Tera and me today 🙂  We’re so excited to be here and even more excited to be able to share the cover of Relentless, the second, soon-to-be-released book in our superhero duology.

Covers are one of the absolute best thing about being a published author.  I mean, I love thinking up the stories and playing with my characters (and making life as difficult for them as possible, because I’m mean like that) but once the story is out of my hands and into the hands of the publisher, the cover is the very best part!!!!

I’m super excited by the Relentless cover—I love the colors on it as well as the way Draven and Kenna are obviously partners 🙂  And of course, the shiny villain mark on the cover is one of my favorite things in the world. When Sourcebooks came up with the hero (see the awesome new cover of Powerless) and villain marks, Tera and I squeed with excitement.  We love them so much and are thrilled they made it onto this iteration of the cover.

I hope you guys like the covers as much as we do (and hope you like the book inside even more)!  Can’t wait to hear what you guys think of Relentless!!!

About the Book

Revenge is easy, but justice is worth fighting for…

Kenna is tired of being lied to—and hunted by the very allies she once trusted. Unearthing the dark secrets of the superhero world has not only endangered her life, now her boyfriend faces execution for crimes he didn’t commit and her mother is being held captive in a secret governmental prison.

Kenna is determined to stand up for what’s right and save those she loves from unspeakable fates. It’s time for the betrayal to end. It’s time for the real criminals to face justice.

But the truth is even more terrifying than Kenna could imagine. A conspiracy threatens the fate of heroes, villains, and all of humanity. If Kenna’s going to survive, she must draw on her deepest strength: her resilience. Because when Kenna’s pushed to the limit, she doesn’t break down. She fights back.
