Giveaway: Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill (US/Canada)

Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill

Release Date: November 2012

Meant to be or not meant to be . . . that is the question.

It’s one thing to fall head over heels into a puddle of hazelnut coffee, and quite another to fall for the—gasp—wrong guy. Straight-A junior Julia may be accident prone, but she’s queen of following rules and being prepared. That’s why she keeps a pencil sharpener in her purse and a pocket Shakespeare in her, well, pocket. And that’s also why she’s chosen Mark Bixford, her childhood crush, as her MTB (“meant to be”).

But this spring break, Julia’s rules are about to get defenestrated (SAT word: to be thrown from a window) when she’s partnered with her personal nemesis, class-clown Jason, on a school trip to London. After one wild party, Julia starts receiving romantic texts . . . from an unknown number! Jason promises to help discover the identity of her mysterious new suitor if she agrees to break a few rules along the way. And thus begins a wild goose chase through London, leading Julia closer and closer to the biggest surprise of all: true love.

Because sometimes the things you least expect are the most meant to be.

    I think so.

  2. Breana M. says:

    Of course! 😉

  3. Danielle Schneider says:

I’d like to think everyone has a meant to be 🙂

  4. I might be a bit cynical but I don’t think so. I think you can find people you get along with and love but I don’t think there is a cosmic craziness and that there is only 1 person you are meant to be with.

  5. Bonnie says:

I am not sure if everyone has a “meant to be” person for them.

  6. Erika says:

    I do think so!

  7. Michelle Bitner Smith says:

No, I don’t. I think there are people that fit together better than others.

  8. Lauren Andreas says:

I do think everyone has a meant to be. 🙂

  9. Alyssa says:

Some do, and some don’t. I was lucky and found mine 🙂

  10. Sam says:

    I am honestly not sure…….

  11. Tressa (Tressa's Wishful Endings) says:

I don’t think so. I think there can be a couple of options for everyone and we end up with someone based on our choices. I also believe that two dedicated people can make any relationship work and can love each other.

  12. Jill the OWL says:

I do believe it yes! I was married then divorce. The first marriage was not my “one”. But the guy I am marrying now is and always will be!

  13. Deidra says:

Yes. To a degree I suppose.

  14. MrsErica Beaton says:

I think that we all make choices, but there are times in our lives when we’re meant to be aligned with one person. My grandmother, while widowed at a young age, was fortunate to have more than one soulmate.

  15. Jamie says:

I don’t think so. I don’t believe in just one right person. Love is a choice. Everyday I CHOOSE my husband. Maybe that doesn’t sound romantic to some that believe in fate or just one person, but I think it’s terribly romantic. 🙂

  16. taylor z says:

    yes 🙂

  17. Meagan Cooke says:

I think everyone has a “meant to be” I found mine….everyone can. And it’s usually when you stop looking that fate sends you “the sign”. 🙂

  18. L says:

Not everyone, but I think that if you pray hard enough, you will find your “meant to be” with person.

  19. Susan Light says:

    For most people, yes.

  20. Sasha Shamblen says:

    I want to believe that

  21. Tierney Clement says:

I believe that there is someone out for everyone, but I don’t believe that there is just one right person that we’re meant to be with.

  22. Lauren Zipp says:

I think that everyone should have the chance to find someone they want be be with. I think, like a “soul mate,” you could have a “meant to be” but I don’t think that there is only one person out there for you. I believe that there is someone out there for everyone, but that doesn’t mean there is only one person that is the best for you. Sometime’s it’s good to see how things go and cherish things for the moment.

  23. Justine says:

I definitely believe that everyone has a meant to be!

  24. Gary Green says:

I would love to win this prize.

  25. Vivien says:

    Abolutely!

  26. Paola Malagon says:

Yes, I do. I might be too cynical about everything else in my life but I like to believe there is always a perfect person for everyone.

  27. Kellie says:

I think everyone has a ‘meant to be’ but not everyone cares to find them, or simply can’t.

  28. Zahria says:

    yes of course

  29. Hufsa T says:

Closet romantic, I think yes. xD

  30. Hufsa T says:

    I like to think so.

  31. Sarah c. says:

I think so.. I think that if a person wants to be with someone then they would have a meant to be partner.. But some people choose to be single

  32. Lisa Collins says:

I don’t know that everyone has a MTB. It seems like wishful thinking to me.

  33. Shelver506 says:

Nope. I think who you end up with is who you make it work with, and they become your “meant to be.”

  34. Ashley Taylor says:

I hope there’s a match for everyone! Since the ancient greeks, people have believed it so who’s to say it isn’t true 🙂

  35. bn100 says:

    yes

  36. Brynna says:

I’m not sure. I think I’m going to have to go with no, not everyone does.

  37. Amber Hsu says:

I don’t personally believe in “true love” or “meant to be”… maybe I’m just skeptical that way…

  38. Annaiss says:

I want to believe that everyone has a meant to be.

  39. Sarah says:

I’d like to think that everyone has a “meant to be” but I don’t really believe it. I think there are maybe people who are supposed to be in our lives for a period of time or a string of events, but I don’t know how much I go for the idea of having one person meant to be yours forever and ever. It’s a nice idea to read about though!

  40. Amie says:

No I don’t think so…some of us have waited all their lives and still there is no sign of “the one”

  41. Geraldine Choy says:

I really do think it’s true!

I most definitely believe everyone has a meant to be.

  43. Ashley Rogers says:

I personally believe yes. I have found my meant to be (: and I personally hope everyone finds the one person they are not meant to be without!

  44. ryan snyder says:

I would certainly like to think so. Otherwise, we are just….. I dunno. .. . settling. which seems sad.

  45. Charlotte says:

Yes I do think everyone has a meant to be, but I do t think it always happens for them the way they expect. At my age and life experience, I can attest to this…. And it’s funny how life works its self out. 🙂

  46. Ashley says:

    Yeah, I think so.

  47. Kierra says:

I think, overall, yes, as long as you believe in it.

  48. Anika Abdullah says:

Yeah, if people dont have a meant to be, then what is love?

  49. Amanda Good says:

I do think that, it’s just hard for some people to find theirs.
