All-American Girl is the classic story of boy meets girl, with a great sense of humour. One afternoon after art class, Sam saves the president of the United States, and consequently falls in love with his son.

Although the situations are a little unbelievable, it really is an enjoyable read marked by the quick wit of the main character, and the realistic writing style of Meg Cabot.

A HILLARIOUS book about Samantha Madison wh goes from being the simple teenager who wears all-black to the superhero who saved the life of the American President.

The story has bits of everything: friendship, family, LURVE, school-life, daily teenage woes and worries...

I especially enjoyed the Top 10 lists at the end of each chapter. Meg Cabot has once again proved her humor!

Samantha, outspoken artist and clad-in-black envioronmentalist is an ordinary teen. Then she accidently saves the President and that throws her life completly out of balance.
She gets to know David, who is a classmate in art classes and also the President's son.

The book is interesting, witty and Samantha voices her opinions in an inspiring fashion. I could completely relate to the art lessons in Sam's life. Those parts were believable, but the part about saving the president was a little far-fecthed, but that is what makes the book so...endearing.
Overall, I recommend this books to teens who enjoy humour, laced with romance!

Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! Quirky, different characters that thrill you all the way through - to a never-ending hilarious plot...

How could anyone ever know that saving the President would lead to love, and trouble around the corner?

If you enjoyed Meg Cabot's 'The Princess Diaries' and/or 'Teen Idol', you HAVE to read this one - it's as good, as funny, and as powerful as fiction stories can ever get.

Recommended!

I really liked this book, eccept the main character could be alittle more exiting. the book was over all funny, but there were certain times I thought I would collapse because it got so boring!!!!!!!! I did read the entire book, which absolutly amazed me, bacause of that raving Taylor who kept on making me go back whenever she saw me skip a few pages... so yes, I did, at some point, get bored out of my mind.

This book was extremely funny and I had fun reading it. Sam believes that she is a total loser and then one day...she rescues the President from a sniper. After that, she is stormed by reporters and news crews. The worst part (in her opinion) is that the President's son might have a crush on her!
I really liked this book and I can't wait for the sequel!!

Hey there, again. First off, this book is catchy and the lists after chapters are fun to read. The only downfall- boring parts find their way into the book. Many times through the book, I was thinking about not finishing it, but I'm glad I did because the ending was awesome.

"All-American Girl" is a wacky story about a girl who saves the president from assassination. After that she develops a crush on the president's son. I like this book because it's interesting and different from other stories, while keeping a steady pase of action. It deals with popularity status, first love, and family problems. This is a great book if you want to read something wild and wacky fun.

I loved the Princess Diaries, so I decided to give Meg Cabot another try. She won my interest once more! All American girl is about Samantha, classified as a "goth" by most people. She is simply trying to sneak out of art class when she sees a potential assanin to the president ready to fire! With her quick thinking, she saves the president and wins America's affections. There's all sorts of quirky twists, like a romance with the president's son, art class, and becoming a teen embassedor to the United Nations.
Though highly unlikely, Sam's story is delightfully entertaining.

All American girl was the type of book I read for pleasure and get nothing out of except a good time. I wouldn't call the book informative, school-related, or deep...but it isn't boring either! I'd reccomend All American girl to someone who has a little spare time to read this fun book. It's great before bed, on the beach, or whenever you'l be in a car for a long time. Whatever the occassion, All American Girl is sure to bring laughs to the reader!
