Samantha is your average, all American Girl. She is stuck in the middle, with her older sister being popular and her younger sister being smart.
One day she saves the day by saving the president from an assassination, and suddenly she is the most popular girl at school.

It's written by Meg Cabot, who is an excellent author. I read this book not too long ago, and I thought it was really good. The story line was good, and Sam is a likable character.

i think it was a great book. i liked how she was a diffrent character than the usual type of characters they put in books. i don't understand why she doesn't try to be friends with more people though.

i don't mean like being popular like her sister or anything, but just a few more friends wouldn't hurt. I can't believe her sister uses horse conditioner. i liked how she was friends with her maid.

i really liked her maid though; she was really funny. i waish i had a mom like her! well, mabey not the part about her knowing about everything i'm doing. her real mom's job is ironic: she is an environmental lawyer meaning she cares about the world and stuff, but she totally ignores her own three daughters cus she's so busy all the time.

While not the most believeable book ever written, I certainly enjoyed reading it. I absolutely loved David. He seemed so nice and sweet and i almost cried when he found out that sam was useing him to get to jack. I mean how could sam think jack was better than david? ugh. but it turns out ok in the end so its all good =). Sam was a good character because she wasnt perfect and pretty which i like in a main character. it makes them more believable.

SUMMARY: Samantha Madisons life was the pits. She had a cheerleader older sister and a genius younger sister. Her family disapproves of her wardrobe (which was all nicely protestant black) and she was flunking German, a language that was probably useless to her anyways. To make things worse, she just saved the president and suddenly everyone thinks shes some kind of hero (NOT true!). Sam is appointed teen ambassador to the UN, which is really more of a name than a job, and everyone seems to think shes dating the presidents son!

This is a typical Meg Cabot story, so it was full of wit and humor. In All-American Girl the characters are solid and oh so very real. I winced and blushed at the embarrassing moments, sighed with glee at the romantic scenes, and just plain laughed out loud at the comedy. Loved it!

This was simply one of my favorite books from Meg Cabot. I've always imagined how it would be like to date the president's son. And not only that, but have everyone in the world know that you're the person that saved the president's life!! A very funny book, this book is recomended for those that are searching for a unexpected romance.

Althugh this story is oo far fetch, it is fun to read. After all we read fiction to get away from reality right.

Sam likes to draw so he rparents enroll her in an expensive after school art program full of adults.Besides her she meets a guy thats about her age who looks familiar. When the teacher critisizes on of Sam's paintings, she takes it the wrong way an decides to never go back.
the next week she ditches art class and hangs out at a record store. when she gets out she sees a strange man abuot to shoot the president of the U.S.

well she ends up saving his life and becomes a heroine. throughout the book she deals with problems such as being popular all of a sudden and being in love with her sister's boyfriend. But wait what happened to that cute guy from her art class, oh yeah he happens to be none other than the president's son who has his eyes set on Sam. What's Sam to do?

the story is a bit unrealistic, but everyone loves a fairy tale, especially the one taking place on broad daylight (or rainy day) in washington dc. and meg has created her best heroine ever. sam madison is witty, hilarious and modest. definitely the right candidate for the teen ambasssador to the UN.besides, she's tough. what more could you ask for?

EXCELLENT BOOK (ALTHOUGH UNREALISITIC) BUT ITZ UNREALISTICNESS ADDS TO THE CHARM.. I THINK ITS GR8 HOW THE FOCUS ON THE NON-POPULAR SISTER BUT SHEE NEVER REALLY SHOWS JELOUSY FOR HER OLDER SISTER..EXCELLENT ONE OF THOSE TEEN-LIT BOOKS THAT CAN BE ENJOYED BY ALL.. INSIGHT INTO TYPICAL TEEN LIFE AND HOW IT CAN CHANGE.
(SEQUEL WAS DISAPPOINTING)
