I love Kelly Oram books, she is my number one insta-buy author and I am always excited to read what she has put out there. Alice in La La Land was no different!

In the Kellywood universe, Alice in La La Land revisits Kelly Classics like Cinder & Ella and V is for Virgin, with several characters making cameos.
Alice in La La Land is about Alice and Dylan, but also her best friends, Lexie and Matt and their collective dream to make it big as musicians.

I really loved the chemistry Lexie, Matt, and Alice had together. All three characters were super unique and added enough to the story to help it flow.
I loved Dylan and Alice's "meet-cute." It was full of humor and snark, which paved the path for their further interactions to be much of the same. I thought their romance was a little lacking though.
Written in dual POV, it was great to see their interactions from each perspective and how they interpreted inflection or body language.

I enjoyed watching Alice develop a backbone and stick up for herself against her mom. It was totally understandable on why she didn't want to hurt her moms feelings, you couldn't help but feel pity for the whole situation. That being said, there wasn't as much emotional connection for me like there usually is with one of Kelly's books. I swooned occasionally with Dylan's charm, but I didn't feel the roller coaster of emotions like I have with her other books.

There is a lot that happens in a three day period. The sneaking out of the hotel for three nights in a row seems a bit much, and unrealistic.

I loved, loved, loved seeing Brian Oliver in a big brother role. It fits him so well. I would love to see more of him in future books.

Despite its few flaws, Alice in La La Land is a very cute, insta-love read.
