OVERVIEW
Emerson Watts is anything but an airhead. Em, embracing her boyish name, is a total tomboy. She spends her time playing computer games, and hanging out with best friend Christopher, while making fun of the Walking Dead Whitney Robertson and her group of friends and followers at Tribeca Alternation (TAHS) who think they are at the top of the pyramid. Em would rather die than become a Walking Dead. But what happens when that choice is made for her? With a whole new body thats turning heads everywhere she goes, does Em finally have what it takes to get noticed by the one she loves?

REVIEW
Going into this book, I really didnt know what it was about. Sure I knew that the main character, Em, gets a whole new look, but I didnt know how, although I thought I knew why. Meg Cabot is an awesome author, and Airhead was no exception of hers. The plot is original and very well written. Meg keeps you in suspense long enough to want to know whats going on, but not too long to where you get tired with the book, although I did get impatient at some point. Overall, youre questions are answered throughout the book, except, like a great author, the ones you really want to know which is just enough to keep you on the edge of your seat awaiting the sequel. Being Nikki hits stores in May 2009.

I can't lie; this had to be the oddest book that I have read by one of my favorite authors!

Emerson Watts is a pretty typical nerdy girl at a good school. She has one best friend, who she is secretly in love with (It is a guy, by the way.) But she is only typical until she goes to a store opening with her sister and gets injured in a very freak accident.

When she wakes up after about a month of being unconscious, she feels like she is someone else.

And she actually is.

This is not a paranormal book. She gets a brain transplant.

At the end of the book I literally said, "Get me the next book! NOW!" The ending is a total cliffhanger!

The characters are smart, witty, and a little weird, as with typical Meg Cabot books. A fun read, even though the beginning is a little hard to understand, and can be difficult to get into. However, it is definitely worth reading the whole thing, because it is truly hilarious!

Em Watts was a tomboy, spending most of her time playing computer games with her friend Christopher-- but that was before the incident at the SoHo Stark Megastore. After a life-altering accident involving Nikki Howard, a teen supermodel, Em wakes up in a hospital. And then things start to get bizarre.

This was one of the toughest books to summarize. It has such a unique plot, but its one you really have to read through to find out yourself if I told you, itd ruin half the fun! Suffice to say that this exceeded my expectations by far. Being a Meg Cabot fan, I expected a lot I wasnt too impressed with one of her newer releases, Jinx, solely due to my high standards (I liked it, but it didnt blow me out of the water with glee like her past books have). So I was holding myself back on assuming it would be an automatic favorite due to Meg Cabots name bolded on the front. But Meg made me eat my words as she (again) proves here that shes an amazing YA author. Airhead rivals my previous favorite of hers, The Mediator series, on my Top Favorites list.

Meg Cabot has done it again. She has created another great young adult series. I was pulled in from the beginning and did not want to stop till I was through. I had almost forgotten her ability to pull a reader into the book and the story.

The plot is original and handled in classic Meg Cabot style. I would never have thought of such a thing being possible (as it is a major spoiler, I will not say what it is for those who havent yet read it) but I could sympathize with the protagonist and her plight. I wish I could elaborate, but it would give too much away.

Along the same lines of sympathizing with the protagonist, the emotions the Cabot is able to create really resonated with me. I thought the emotions of the characters were right on target. I could really feel them and understand their feelings.

I absolutely cannot wait for the sequel Being Nikki which is scheduled for released next May. I look forward to more of the exciting story as well as the wonderful characters.

Meg Cabot fans, watch out! Ms. Cabot has written another fabulous novel that will captivate many readers!

Em (thats short for Emerson, not Emily!) Watson has always been a tomboy, preferring video games to truth-or-dare sessions. She doesnt have many girl friends, since shell take trying to reach the new level of JourneyQuest, over a shopping spree at the mall and slathering makeup on any day! Her only girly trait? Having a crush on her best buddy, Christopher, with whom she spends most of her video game playing hours.

Her sister Frida, on the other hand, is one of the Walking Dead as Em and Christopher likes to call thema queen bee wannabe who is obsessed with makeup, cheerleading, and trying to be like the head of the Walking DeadWhitney Robertson. That being said, of course Frida has to go to the new Stark mega-store opening, which will include a performance by the new hot British singer that all Walking Dead girls are swooning for, Gabriel Luna. Pushed along by their mom, Em finds herself accompanying her sister to the grand openingand her life taking a whole different turn.

I just could not put this book down! Meg Cabot has created another great novel with an unexpected twist and topic that has not been broached in very many other YA novels (if any!), which made this book all the more interesting! Ms. Cabots characters are highly realistic and believable, as usual, making it easy for readers to connect to them and making Airhead a fantastically captivating read! I'm already dying for the sequel! Airhead is a must read for all Meg Cabot fans!

Emerson Watts, or Em as she prefers, is a total tomboy. She loves hanging out with her best friend, and secret crush, Christopher playing video games and is a total geek in school. She especially cant stand girly girls - she considers them the Walking Dead. The worst thing is that her sister is turning into a Walking Dead member faster than Em can complete a level of the her beloved Journeyquest game. When the day of the grand opening of the new SoHo Stark Megastore arrives Ems sister couldnt be more ecstatic. The only thing thats raining on her parade is the fact that Em has to tag along to baby-sit her. Ems not particularly pleased either, but at least Christopher will be there to endure the pain too. What Em doesnt know that disaster will strike during their trip to Stark Megastore. In a twisted turn of events and one uncanny accident, Em is really not herself anymore. Literally!

This was absolutely the best Meg Cabot book I have ever read. She has really outdone herself with this book. I really dont think this book could have gotten much better. What I especially loved was that you were thrust into the story from the very first page, yes you were hooked, but the drama started right away. There werent many pages about who each character was and what they were doing, it was just the story. I also found that this book flew by. It literally pulled you into Ems world and didnt release its grasp on you until the very last page. When the book was done I found myself stunned that it was already over as I felt like I had just started it. The book included Meg Cabots usual funny and sarcastic writing style, which I love, and the characters were completely great. Each character really seemed to come to life in their own way and the reader was given the opportunity to form their own opinion of each character. The twists in this book were completely unthinkable. I was so shocked at some things that it made the book even better. I absolutely recommend this book to all Meg and non Meg fans alike, as I am sure you will love it. I cannot wait until the next book in this trilogy, Being Nikki, which will be released next May.

Personally, I felt a little iffy about this novel, but with all the good reviews this book has been getting, maybe I'm judging a little too harshly. I don't even know why I'm forming an aversion to the novel, it's just that by the middle of the novel, I barely wanted to read it and then I had to force myself to finish the novel.

In the beginning of the novel, everything was fine. I was completely riveted to the story and everything was going great. Until the huge! surprise part came along and then it just went pfft!. I guess I just couldn't get over the concept of what had happened: not the sci-fi part, but moreover why it happened.

Otherwise, I see why everyone else praises the novel. The characters, especially, really shine out: they are completely real and made me laugh and ache with their actions and what happened.

I do know that I have to read the next one in the series, it's definitely addicting.

Em Watts is not herself. Literally.

She never wanted to go to the grand opening of the new Stark Megastore store. That was her sister Fridas idea. But that day changed her life. In an attempt to save her sister Frida from certain harm, Em tries to push Frida out of the way, getting crushed by a falling television screen in the process.

When Em wakes up in the hospital, she has no idea what happened. She can only recall bits of what happened that day, such as a certain gorgeous British singer and songwriter, Gabriel Luna, who sneaks into the hospital to give her flowers. But thats not the only strange thing that happens. Her voice sounds funny, and soon her supposed best friend and celebutante Lulu Collins and her supposed boyfriend Brandon Stark kidnap her from the hospital and take her back to her supposed penthouse apartment. And Em has no idea why shes being whisked off by famous people thats shes only heard of from skimming her sister Fridas magazines. Until, of course, she finds out that shes stuck in supermodel Nikki Howards body.

Airhead could possibly be Meg Cabots best novel yet. I have to admit that I have never been a completely devoted fan of Meg Cabots works (with the exception of Avalon High), but Airhead was quick to become one of my favorites. Cabot proves herself to be a versatile and extremely ingenious writer. I do not understand where these crazy ideas come from, but Im glad they do, because Airhead was simply an amazing book.

I dont want to give away anything too crucial to the plot, so Ill only say that Meg Cabot does an amazing job of combining the modeling world with that of advanced science. It is very amusing to watch Ems character as she navigates in and adjusts to her new life. Em is laugh-out-loud funny, and at the same time, she comes off as very intelligent. I really cannot find any faults with this novel. It has both hilarious and meaningful moments, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel.

I recommend this novel first to all Meg Cabot fans; you will not be disappointed! And even if you dont usually like Meg Cabots other novels, youll be sure to enjoy Airhead, because it is an incredible read that left me wanting more. I highly suggest you run out immediately to buy this book before it gets sold out, and I know I certainly cant wait for the continuation of this awesome series.

A high school junior, video game addict Emerson Watts is a loner at her school, along with her friend Christopher. And despite her loner status, Emerson is content with most of her life. Maybe things could better, such as her little sister's obsession with the people Emerson and Christopher dubbed the Walking Dead.

But that's when everything ends.

On an irritating trip to the opening of a new Stark Megatore, where Em and Christopher have to supervise Emerson's little sister, things all change.

In fact.
(just as it says on the back cover)

"Emerson Watts is gone. Nikki Howards is here to stay" pretty much sums it all up.

It's a great book that all Meg Cabot fans should pick up ASAP
