Readers can sign up for the program at FirstInLineReaders.com. Members receive a monthly newsletter and access to locked sections of the site. This will include special behind-the-book material and author content, such as never-before-seen deleted scenes, extended excerpts, author videos and Q&As, sharable social images, and advance reader’s copy giveaways. Members also receive VIP invitations to First In Line events across the country and online.

Teens love to be the first to get their hands on the next big thing. We credit the success of many of our YA bestsellers, like E. Lockhart’s We Were Liars, Jennifer Niven’s All the Bright Places, and James Dashner’s blockbuster Maze Runner series, to the early readers who eagerly embraced these books and passed them on to their friends,” said Kim Lauber, Director of Marketing, Random House Children’s Books. “First In Line is our thanks to them and rewards these literary trendsetters with even more advance access to our authors and forthcoming books that we know they will love.”

Member locations will receive a free First In Line Merchandising Kit seasonally, which includes materials to create displays and giveaways, including chapter samplers for each featured book that contain unique sweepstakes only accessible through the physical entry form.
