I’ve only read two so far, but Paper Towns was my favorite. Watching the protagonist evolve as a young man and as an admirer of his missing friend was enlightening. I had a copy of this book in my classroom library, but it was checked out and never returned. =( I need another copy so more of my students can read this great story.

So far, Looking for Alaska is my favorite John Green book, next to Paper Towns, of course. I like how even though Pudge memorizes last words of people’s lives, he accepts that they will never know Alaska Young’s last words! It feels like true friendship, if not a bit more, and I like how Pudge knows all he can do is hope. Hope that she’s in a good and tranquil place.

  15. Nika Lofton says:

Having read all his books and the ones that he co wrote, I would have to say Paper Towns is my favorite. It is the most relatable one for me and it just addressed a huge problem with todays youth, which is romantising and objectifying them rather than seeing them as real and complex people.
