WHEN I'M WITH YOU is a sweet picture book read about friendship. Told in lyrical and rhyming text, the book captures the magic of forever friends, who make us our best selves and bring us so much joy. Using many metaphors and similes, the book captures all the great things about the people who have changed our lives and made it better by being in it.

What I loved: This is a really cute and sweet read that celebrates amazing friends and the magic of friendship. The lyrical and poetic text flows so beautifully off the tongue and reads aloud so nicely. Detailed, elaborate, and imaginative illustrations bring the magic and joy of friendship to life throughout the story. The choice of color and many details are really lovely. The book also features many different friends, including pets and siblings, as well as a diversity of children. Most of the text could apply to any special, close relationship with the ending line speaking to friendship, which makes this one for all types of friends to share.
