Celebrate the power of love with adorable baby animals and their parents in this heartwarming board book, filled with sturdy, die-cut board flaps throughout that weave the text and illustrations together.

Love is everywhere! This sweet celebration of love between parent and child reinforces the message that love can be found anywhere we look, from the tops of the tallest trees and the deepest parts of the ocean to icy and snowy lands. Adorable illustrations of squirrels, elephants, dolphins, penguins and more parent/child pairs depict the animals on separate parts of the page on the initial spread, but with a turn of the sturdy board flap, the two are brought together in sweet embraces. Perfect for sharing with a special little one at bedtime, or anytime!

WE ARE LOVE is a sweet board book about love. The story is written in a poem about the power of love and the strength of the love the reader has for the listener. Each page cleverly shows a young and older animal that, when turned, creates a heart out of the animals' bodies, such as two dolphins lined up to make a heart or two dogs' tails creating the heart.

What I loved: This is a short but sweet poem about love and its power and strength, intended to be shared between caregiver and child. The pages turn quickly with only a line on each page, using large font to make it easier for reading aloud. The clever part of the story is the die-cut pages that turn to form hearts between the adult and child animals with a human duo on the last page, making the heart with their hands. The illustrations are simple but cute and go along with the poem well.

Final verdict: WE ARE LOVE is a cute and sweet board book intended to share a message of love between reader and infant/toddler. A lovely poem and adorable animals make this a fun one to share.
