this book was wonderful!!
for some it may be a bit hard to understand but if you can understand it, it will have a really big affect on the way you see things in life.
Personally i enjoyed it and if you start it and think its boring at least finish the first chapter because after part 2 all of the action comes ad it was a moving book.

This wasnt neccessarily a book I'd pick up on my own at the library or bookstore, but I really liked this book for school. Its set in the south in the Great Depression era, and is very controversial. They are many plots, and a lot of them stick out in your mind. This book is ficiton, but deals with many aspects of that time, such as prejudice, racism, and rights.

This book is about the Finch Family and their life with the town's rasicm. Also, the book throws in some other minor plotlines.

So, I had to read this book for English. And I have to say, i loved this book! I really enjoyed it because the book was pretty funny. When I read the book, I just wanted to keep on reading until I finished it. It may seem boring to most people, but if you give it the try, i'm pretty sure everyone would love it just like me.

To Kill a Mockingbird follows Scout through her life as a young girl in a rural Southern city where she encounters racism, friendships, and prejudice.

This book has a very special place in my heart because it addresses important (yet still prevalent) aspects of society without going overboard. There are so many different parts of this book like important themes, adventure, humor, drama, etc. This book is definitely one of my favorite books.

However, this is a very slow read in the beginning, but it gets a lot faster paced at the second half of the book. It took me three months to read the first part in seventh grade!

To Kill A Mockingbird, a classic tale by Harper Lee, is one of the best books I've ever read. It is the remarkable story of three kids, brother and sister Jem and Scout, and their neighborhood friend, Dill. The trio lives in Maycomb, a tired, small old town in Southern Georgia during the 1930's. Racism is a main theme, along with growing up.

During the long summers, the kids love to play outdoors. They are bewildered by Mr. Arthur Radley, also known as Boo, who lives down the street from the children. Boo hasn't been out of his house in several years, because he got in trouble with the law as a teenager. He is now a mystery to the children, and they become obsessed with him. They do everything to try and get him to come out of his house, so they can catch a mere glimpse of him. Once the newness of Boo wears off, the children are struck by something hard-hitting.

Jem and Scout's father, Atticus, is a well-known lawyer for Maycomb County. It has been a long time since Atticus has gotten a case, for the Great Depression is in full swing during this book, and no one has the money to go to court. Then in the middle of a dry summer, he recieves a case where he is to defend a black man. Since racism is key in the South at this time, Atticus knows it will be a tough job.
I thought this book was amazing for various reasons. I loved how there were two plots to the story, but at the very end of the book, the author was able to tie them both together. Another strength of this book was how the author was able to make the story seem like it was from a child's point of view, although Scout is telling the story as an adult. This book has won several awards, including the Pulitzer Prize, and was an instant bestseller. It was also made into an Academy Award winning film.

I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone, although it has more adult themes and is mostly an adult book with an 8th grade reading level. Like I said before, this is definitely one of the best books I've ever read.

This book is another one that I had to read for school and I liked it so much that I read it again. The words are so vivid and the children are so funny and mischevious that it makes you wonder what they will do next. After every page you are constantly wanting to know what will happen next and its so hard to put it down. You really start to open your heart and feel for the children. The story of the trial just adds another bonus to the book, and another question that you want answered. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

I read this book for school and actually ended up really loving it. I want to buy this book. It is set in the racial times, and is centered around the trial of innocent tom Robinson againstthe word of white-trash mayella. I thnk this book should be read by everybody. the childhood experiences are so like my own?(scout and jems). it was overall a lovely read.

To Kill A Mocking Bird takes place during the three years of the Great Depression in Maycomb, Alabama.  The narrator, six-year-old Scout Finch, lives with her older brother, Jem, their widowed father Atticus, a lawyer.  They befriend a boy named Dill who visits his aunt for the summer.  The three of them are scared to death and fascinated with their neighbor  "Boo" Radley.  Very few people have seen Boo. 

During the next two summers, the kids finds that someone is leaving them small gifts in a hollow tree outside the Radley place. 

The court appoints Atticus to defend Tom Robinson.  The town doesn't like the idea that Atticus is defending a black man and causes trouble for the Finch family.

To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite book out of all the books i've ever had to read for school. Usually they don't interest me, but this one did. I especially liked that it was from a girl's point of view and all the stuff with Boo Radley. There was a lot of suspense in the book.

Atticus was really cool too, especially how he trusted his kids and you could tell he really cared about people. I thought it was a good way to learn about history and things like that too.

I recommend this book for readers of any age. I think adults would like it too. My mom said there was even a movie.

To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, is most definitely one of the most amazing books I've ever read. Though the book looks small, the book is filled with life lessons on the tensions between races and classes, your morals with your fellow man, and the basic essence of the bliss and naivety of a little girl.

The book is from the point of view of Scout, a tomboy who watches her father, Atticus, a lawyer, go through a trial that he knows he can't win. He is supporting a black man accused of raping a local white woman. Through the story, you realize the true moral courage of Atticus that can bring tears to your eyes. His opinions on the equality of people and true human courage are what make the book a fantastic read.

I advise the book to absolutely anyone because it is not hard to read and any child can understand the experiences Scout goes through as she grows up.
