While at a car dealorship looking at cars, Remy is just standing there. As she stands there, this guy named Dexter walks up to her. He starts to talk to her and says that Remy might like him. She goes on and she tells Dexter that she really does not like him. Remy and her friend Chloe just leave walking away. "He'll lose interest eventually." Remy said.
"Oh. ye of little faith," he said gladly. "I'm just getting started." Will Remy fall for Dexter and like him?

I would rate "This Luillaby" 4 out of 5 stars. I really liked this book becuase it talks and shows about real teenage drama between friends and dating. I would recommemed this book to anyone who likes to read about love and dating, and how friendships could be ruined because of it.

He starts to talk to her and says that Remy might like him. She goes on and she tells Dexter that she really does not like him. Remy and her friend Chloe just leave walking away from him. Remy is a girl who has many relationships that have always ended up the same way. She has her whole relationships planned out to a schedule. Her dad wrote a hit song titled 'Lullaby' for Remy and now has been turned into elavator music. He mom is a writter who has been married many times and is about to be married again.

Dexter is a musician in aband with his best friends. They move around the country and get simple jobs and play gigs in the evening. Dexter is a guy who wants to remember the moments and get the 'Potatoe Opus' on the top charts.

When Remy crosses paths with Dexter, a guy who is in a band, he world of relationships changes. From the moment Dexter saw Remy, he knew she was the one. From the moment Remy met Dexter she knew he was immature. Remy only wants a summer fling before she heads off to college in the fall while Dexter wanted forever. Remy learns the hard way that in the real world relationships do not follow a schedule. 

This particular book by Dessen was exactly what the back of the book stated, "the science of breaking up." The characters in this book were well written but the overall plot was not what I had imagined it to be. I heard from several of my friends that this was one of their top 5's, it however never made it into my top 50. Dessen has written much better books before This Lullaby that are amazing pieces of work. Remy to me seems to be to cynical of a character and Dexter deserves better.

I have read Sarah dessen before and loved her books! But this book I didn't like. I felt as if this wasn't a book meant for teens. There was under age drinking,lots of talk of sex. I just wasn't comfortable while reading. I only made it almost to the middle of book. :( .

I thought it was funny how this wasn't a usual love story, where nice sweet hot girl falls in love with hot guy, it was the other way, and no one could have pulled it off better. The way she makes Remy depend on herself and no one else is the biggest inspiration. it shows that you don't have to have a hot guy lead you toward life, and that settling for someone when you feel the cosmic force lol. Sarah brought love in the most unexpected ways, and it WORKED!!!
