When a little owl's tree gets chopped down, he gets trapped in it and is taken on a ride to the big city. Soon, he finds himself face-to-face with humans for the first time and they help return her to where she belongs. The owl earns the name Rocky since the tree is meant to become the next Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.

THE LITTLE OWL & THE BIG TREE teaches children about what to do if ever in a situation where a wildlife creature need help. When the little owl is uprooted and brought to the city, the people who find him call wildlife rescuers who make sure the owl is fed and healthy before releasing him back into the wild. I think this is an important message for children who want to keep every animal they find as a pet because typically it doesn't end well if they do.

Final Verdict: This is a cute Christmas story with a focus of animal rescue while bringing awareness to what can happen while cutting down a Christmas tree. The illustrations are soft which fit the holiday/caring vibe the story carries. I would recommend this as a Christmas story for children who love animals, especially owls.
