The Girl from the Well was a unique and fascinating novel. It tells the story of Okiku, a ghost that kills child killers. She then meets Tarquin, who has strange tattoos and a dark secret.

I loved the plot. It was really interesting and drew me in from the first page. It was filled with ghost, Japan lore, Shinto rituals and excorsims.

The characters were amazing. Okiku was an avenging ghost instead of the usual ghosts that just kill anyone. She was intelligent and determined. I liked that she counted things too. Tark was nice and hilarious. His sarcasm and humor were great. And Callie was supportive and helpful to Tark.

This was a very intriguing novel with so many great elements and I'm looking forward to reading more of Okiku and Tark in The Suffering!
